I woke up in a box that was moving pretty fast upwards,I started to cough up water "What the hell is happening?" I mumble to myself, I look over to see a boy staring at me "Hello?" I said he looks really familiar, who is he, is he my friend?, family?, Wait, he's my brother! "Who are you?" He asked "I think I'm you're sister" "Wait" he sat there for a minute in deep thought "Kayla?" He said kinda confused, Kayla must be my name there was a loud siren that interrupted my thoughts "What the hell was that" my brother asked "I don't know" I said just then the cage came to a stop throwing me into my brother then there was a peering light that temporarily blinded me

"Newt, What do you see?"

"There's two, and one of them is a girl" the boy apparently named Newt said there were a million questions being asked

"Is she hot?"

"I call dibs!"

"You can't call dibs she gets to choose!"

"Who the hell are you?" I asked standing up "the names newt, greenie" he said taking a step closer to me, my brother got up and put his arms in front of me "get the he'll away from my sister!" "Calm down greenie" a guy with wired eyebrows said just then he grabbed my brother and threw him out of the cage I was then picked up and put by my brother a bunch of boys huddled us "get ready to run" my brother said in my ear "What?" I asked confused "Now!" He said grabbing my hand and sprinting towards giant doors

"We got runners!" One of the boys said

"Mhino make sure they don't go through those doors!" Newt yelled

"keep going we're almost there!" He said going faster "Thomas slow down you're gonna—" before I could finish my sentence I was slammed to the ground and Thomas tripped falling face forward on the ground, I look up to see who slammed me to the ground it was an Asian boy with running clothes on "What the hell is wrong with you!?" I shouted at the boy "what's wrong with me? You're the one who was running into a death trap" he said getting off me "I'd rather run into a death trap than stay here!" "Looks like we have a new sass queen" he said sarcastically

I look over to see my brother still in the dirt "how did the plan go?" I asked my brother standing up "not like I planned" he said flatly "no shi-" Mhino was cut off by newt punching him in the arm "mhino, I said don't let them go into the maze not try and kill the bloody girl!" Newt yelled at him "she didn't die did she?" He asked sarcastically newt rolled his eyes in annoyance "Are you ok?" He asked with a smile "I'm fine" I said smiling "I'll give you a tour, mhino you take care of the other green bean" he said taking my hand my brother gave me a worried glance I nodded mouthing an 'It's ok'.
