With a coffee in hand, and my arm out of the sling, a smile appeared on my face when I saw the whole team laughing and having a good time in the commons area. I don't know where I would be without my team as they have been my family from the start.
Taking another breath I walked forward and took a seat at my desk.
"How's the arm kiddo?" Chief Yarbro asked.
"It's doing the best it can." I smiled back.
"Well good. We need our best teammate out on the feild." smiled Jacobs.
"Trust me, I'd be out there saving lives if it wasn't for this old guy giving me rest until it's healed." I nodded at Yarbro spinning my chair around trying to find Joy. "Where's Joy?" I asked everyone.
"No idea. She just left a few minutes ago with a smile on her face saying she had to take her call else where." smiled Klasco wiggling his eyebrows.
"Oh gross." I stuck my tongue out. "That would be my brother she is talking to."
"Ohhh." they all laughed.
After a few more minutes of small talk Joy walked up with the biggest smile on her face. "So what's my brother up to?"
"Well he's going to take me to Rose's tonight on our first official date." she squealed.
"Woah. My brother really does like you." I laughed. "Well you both deserve it. Who's watching Daisy then?"
"Susie is." she said. Susie was the old lady that lived across from Jordan. Ever since he moved into his house, Susie would always watch Daisy when my brother was busy or make baked deserts for us. She basically was like a mother figure to us ever since our parents died.
"Oh okay." I sighed in relief. I love the kid to death. But sometimes I can't handle that bundle of energy. I don't know how Susie handles her.
"So you coming tonight?" Jacobs asked.
"What?" I asked confused obviously missing the beginning of the conversation.
"We're going to Lucky's tonight, hang out, drink some beer, and whoop your butt in pool." he smiled. Lucky's was the bar we usually go to on our nights off and everytime we go, we play pool, which ends up me gaining about sixty dollars from winning in pool.
"If you want to lose money in your wallet, then I am in." I smiled back laughing.
"You are going to lose this round."
I smiled evily at him and knew that tonight was going to be a good night with the team.

Walking into Lucky's I spotted the guys in our usual spot which was by the pool table.
"Ready to lose?" I laughed.
"Whatever." he scoffed as we set the balls correctly in it's place as he started.
It was a close game as all we had was the eight ball. It was my turn and I knew I had this one in bag. Calling the pocket, "That one right there." I pointed with the pool stick. I got in my position, moving the stick back and forth before I pulled back and hit the ball. It was like slow motion as it rolled and landed softly in the pocket. "Oh yeah!"
"Ooooh. You owe her!" Klasco laughed.
"You should know by now that I always win." I smiled at him as I held out my hand waiting for his lovely cash to land in my palm.
