old friend

Rain. It started to rain in the town , there wasn't much you could do on a rainy day, and it not really special either. But on this particular rainy day Jessie had an appointment , no not a job appointment or a romantic one, it was mearly a friendly meet-up.

Knock  knock knock

Jessie waited patiently outside the aprtment door for a response from her friend. The door slowly opened revealing a girl in her early-to-mid-twenties looking dully at Jessie, "greetings, Rosie".
"Hey Jessie." Rosie responded "come in , Jet isn't here today though, she said that there was a family emergency she had to attend to."

"Really? How are you holding up alone?" Jessie asked while slowly entering the apartment and placing her umbrella by the door.

"I'm doing just fine , hakuna matata Jess."Rosie said from a couch that she magically sat on, and gestured for Jessie to sit down.

Jessie sighed and took a seat next to Rosie ," the question is though, are you  doing fine?" Rosie asked back to Jessie. "Im fine" Jessie said " a bit stressed but fine." Rosie looked to Jessie with speculation , but shrugged , she really couldn't argue with stress especially since there's been an increase in extra-normal events recently.

"How's your cover?" Jessie asked Rosie , since there really wasn't much to talk about.

"I'm doin great , since you already know about my intentions and reasonings."

Jessie nodded , she looked to a nearby clock hanging by the entrance of the kitchen '3:45'  it read as the seconds ticked by.
Jessie stood up from the couch "I've gotta be going, I have a case later at 4:00."

Rosie solemnly nodded "well , see you next time Jess."

"See you soon aswell Rosie." Jessie responded while opening the door and left closing the door with a soft clink and headed off to M.G  H.Q
