Chapter One

"I'm sorry but i won't accept any projects for five months, starting today. If you want, i can lend you some of my layouts but that's it. One of my people will be the one who will entertain you, not me", i stated while swaying my swivel chair.

"And why is that? What can they do? I want you and not them. Did you know that, many architects are lining up for them to have me as their client? You should consider yourself lucky because i am the one who really came here and chose you personally but you just decline me", he hissed through gritted teeth.

I can see veins popping up in his neck.

My brow arched. I leaned in and glared at him. "Exactly, why don't you choose them over me? I am not one of those architects and i will never be one of those stupid architects. Please stop insulting my people, they are way better than your so-called architects. If you don't respect my decision, it's not my problem anymore. You may leave".

He stood up. "How dare you?", he yelled at me.

"Oh yes, how dare me. Now, get out before i forget that i should respect you as an elder", i coldly warned him.

I really hate it when someone tries to yell at me. I'm doing my best not to yell to anyone but here he is, pestering me. He's getting into my nerves. It's the first time that i encounter a person like this and it irritates me to hell.

"You're going to regret this", he said as he point his finger at me.

"Don't worry, i know how to choose decision wisely", i faked a smile at him and pointed the door, sign that he can already leave my office.

I blew out a big sigh when he left. He's importunate. If he wasn't an elder, maybe he already received a twin slaps from me. We've been arguing for almost an hour. I can't accept him as my client because i already have a big client to handle. And this project costs a fortune, it's way more bigger than his.

But until now, i still don't know where that project is. My secretary just gave me information that it's a big client and it's out-of-the country. I just quickly accepted it because i was busy earlier and i also want to have fun while working my ass off.

And speaking of which, I pressed the intercom beside me. "Come at my office, Rona"

I leaned my back and shut my eyes to calm myself after that conversation. After i don't know how many minutes had passed, i heard a knock. I signalled her to come in, which she followed and walked towards me. I pointed the visitor's chair infront of me and she sat down.

"Yes, Miss", she politely asked with a big smile plastered on her face.

That smile never leaves her lips and i envy her for that. Wish i could smile like that again, very genuine.

"About this big project, i forgot earlier to ask. Where was it?", i asked curiously while spinning the pen on my hand.

"Didn't i tell you?", she quickly responded. I shook my head lightly.

"I'm sorry, i thought i told you earlier. Well, its out-of-the-country---"

"That's the only thing i knew", i cut her off.

"Seoul", she suddenly uttered that made me stilled from my sit.

"W-what?", i said, stammering.

I think my blood just fled out of my body. Am i dreaming? Did i heard it right?

"You look pale, Miss. Are you sick?", she walked beside me and put the back of her palm to my forehead.

"I'm fine. Are you sure it's in Seoul?", i asked again as fear slowly consume me.
