Chapter Thirty
Seulgi's POV
"This is my house Mom bought for me on my sixteen's birthday. Don't worry, you'll be safe here. No one knew that I own this property except for Daddy, of course", Cassie said as we enter the house.
It's a three-storey contemporary house located in Portland, it took us three days long to came here from New York. I chose to travel by train than plane, it too much risky if i choose air.
I glanced around the place, it's too big for me, honestly. There are three bedrooms, a master's and for guests that is located at the lower ground. To enter the house, you need to cross the steel bridge from the driveway. When you enter the house, you need to walk down the stairs going to the living and dining since it is located the the lower ground floor. A floor-to-ceiling glass window with a full view of the forest welcomes your sight as you view the living area below.
The place is downright breathtaking. A perfect place to cool down and rest. The scenery will surely calm yourself when you're tired. I don't know Cassie owns this place.
I faced her with a smile plastered on my face. "Thank you so much", i sincerely said and hugged her tight, resting my chin on her shoulder.
She hugged me back. "You're very much welcome, Seul. I'm here for you, always, remember that", she replied.
"Don't worry, I'll move out when i found a place", i mumbled.
She moved a bit and let go of me. Her forehead knotted. "I told you, you can stay here as long as you want and Mom already agreed. Besides, i don't use this place since it's too far away from work. You can have this place all by yourself as long as you wanted, Seul. You're welcome here"
I sighed in defeat. "Fine, you win. Tell you Mom that i said thank you even though i bothered your family"
She chuckled. "My parents treat you as their daughter and i treat you as my sister, so you're a family", she paused for a while. "By the way, did you tell your parents about what happen?", she asked.
I shrugged. "I didn't and i will never, i don't want to be a burden. It's also a bold move, Dahyun might use my family against me. It's better that they know nothing because if they do, they'll get involved with my problem", i replied and sat on the couch.
"Oh, well it's your choice not too. If you think that's the best solution then you do it. But, how about...", she looked at me meaningfully.
My brows creased in confusion as she paused. "What?", i curiously asked.
"You know", she said.
"You know what?"
She sighed in frustration. "Your lover", she exclaimed.
I stilled for a while then looked away. "He'll be fine, Dahyun won't hurt him", i said almost a whispet.
I stood up and walked towards the deck. Jimin genuinely smiling at me popped up in my mind, a picturesque of him laughing and looking at me lovingly, telling me how much he loves me filled my imagination. I smiled bitterly, knowing that won't happen again. Tear fell down my cheeks, followed by another and another, to the point that i was already crying softly, i closed my eyes.
Then a warm thing enveloped me. "It's okay, Seul. My shoulders are free for you to lean on", she comforted.
I pressed my lips into a thin line. "You don't know how many times i stopped myself to run back to him, Cassie. I really, really want to come back and tell him that I'll stay and we'll fight Dahyun together. I did everything just to restrain myself from coming back. I know in my mind that i love him with all my heart but that is not enough to fight for him. I'm so coward, Cassie, running away is the best thing i can do to my problems. I don't have the courage to fight for him and face Dahyun. I'm so useless", i said in between my sobs.
