Sand

This is probably the last one in the Cuts series. Hope I gave y'all enough angst to cover the entire fandom. This takes place a few days after Photographs, so enjoy!

Jim walked across the beach, looking for a distraction. Yesterday, he was at Claire's funeral. He hadn't slept much since she died, so there were large bags underneath his electric blue eyes. It was close to midnight, but he didn't care. He couldn't, no. Wouldn't sleep anyways, and he wanted to get out of his room, where he spent most of his days.

He's just had enough of this cruel, mayhem, that they called life.

He just lost the love of his life. His soul has dissolved, after she died. To, pretty much, suicide. A drug overdose. Depression. Pain. Suffering. All of it. She loved him. But, then why did she take her life? After everything he did for her, like bring her brother back from the Darklands, she still left him. But, was this her way of saying 'Thank you'?

These questions flowed through the vast majority of his mind, as he stumbled upon something etched into the warm, Arcadian sand. As soon as he saw the message, tears streamed down his face. This was not the distraction we wanted. He was at a loss for words. It said:

"Jim+Claire, 2018. Our Summer Paradise."

He then wrote his own message. 'Here lies Claire Nuñez, a Juliet that will be never forgotten.' He sat there, tears gleaming in his eyes. He refused to let them fall. Soon, he heard Drall's voice, and he ran towards the docks.

"Trollhunter! We must get you home! The Ba-Buh-Rah will worried!"

"Coming!"

Drall walked him home, as Jim walked beside his Vespa. Soon, Jim returned home, and crashed on the couch, with one single thought. He thought about the writing in the sand on the beachfront, of Arcadia.

But someday, I will find my way back

To where your name, Is written in the sand

Cause I remember every sunset, I remember every word you said

We were never gonna say goodbye, Singing la-da-da-da-da

Tell me how to get back to, Back to summer paradise with you

And I'll be there in a heartbeat

That. Was. Short. Really short. I wrote it on paper, so don't blame me for the length! Ugh! Starting school soon, so I'm probably going to post less often. Quick question: should I do another book for all my other ships and one-shots, but keep the Trollhunters ones here? Anyhoo!

Oatmeal out!
