I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear while checking my watch as I patiently waited for Luke Hemmings, the person I was going to stay with, to arrive. I kept shifting my weight from foot to foot, trying to ease my anxiety.

The airport wasn't loud and crowded nor there were any cliche family reunions. Norfolk wasn't the first place that came to someone's mind to have a good time or spend holidays.

It was weird for me to be out here alone, in a public place after all those years of always staying in the house. It has been ages since I stepped out of the house to do anything really. God bless home delivery and online shopping.

Me and my friend Paige have been living together since we finished high school, we run a small online store selling accessories and t-shirts that we design. It isn't really much, but helps to make both ends meet. And you can't blame me for not going outside, who wants to deal with annoying kids and extreme weather conditions when you have Netflix and warm blankets? Just kidding, we're both broke, we don't have Netflix.

When I got a cryptic call from Mariah two days ago. I felt like she was playing a prank on me but I knew she was too serious for that shit. It was absolutely ridiculous. Mariah really had the balls to order me to move in with a complete stranger, who also happened to be crazy famous. Sounds like something straight out of a shitty romcom.

Eating half a carton of vanilla ice-cream for breakfast hadn't helped much too, I always ate more when I was sad or anxious about something. I curse at myself for eating too much., when I remember what I was really there for.

I break out of my thoughts and try to look for the man I was supposed to. It was 2:30, the time his flight was supposed to land.

I look around in a small crowd of people. freeze for a moment when I see him making his way through the crowd with an angry expression.

Tall frame, greasy blond hair reaching his slouched shoulders, ocean blue eyes, with dark circles under them probably from the lack of sleep. he more a black leather jacket with a white shirt underneath. His legs were covered in skinny jeans and he was wearing black boots. He looked around the platform, searching whoever the hell was supposed to get him out of this hell hole.

He probably couldn't see me from where I was sitting. So I decided to walk towards him.

His back faced me from where I stood now, I was hoping to catch his attention.

"Hey", I say, tapping his shoulder. I manage to force an awkward smile as he turns around to face me. He looks at me with confusion and annoyance, his eyes dark.

"Yes...?", he says and raises an eyebrow. He probably thinks I'm a fan, I think to myself. Make it clear that you're not one of those fangirls before he hands you an autograph and shoos you away.

"Ehrm", I clear my throat and instantly feel stupid for doing so.

" I know this is weird, but I have been appointed to as your- you could say- counselor for your 6 month stay here-"

"Oh, just say babysitter, I bet you don't have any qualification to call yourself that", He cuts me off and rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, you could say that", I say with flushed cheeks.

"Anyways, I am going to be staying with you at Pine Hills , where you will be living for the couple of months with me until management calls you back, that's it"

I clap my hands to conclude my introduction while he stares at we with a ridiculous look on his face as if I was a child.

This was starting to get more awkward. I looked around, looking for something to rant about and avoiding his eye contact, and that is when my eyes landed in his suitcase and duffel bag.

" Oh, let me carry these", I said motioning my hand towards his luggage.

This wasn't a something a decent man would do but I was warned that Luke may tend to act like an edgy depressed teen or worse.

Upon hearing my words, he drops his bags on the ground rather ungracefully. Oh joy, I think to myself. I really expected him to be like no it's fine. I'll totally carry these. I roll my eyes at myself for being so optimistic.

I pick the bag and suitcase up, god they were heavy. I sighed as Luke followed behind me.

Upon reaching the trunk of the car, I realized I couldn't manage to throw the suitcase into the trunk, but after a very long struggle and falling in the attempt, I manage to load his luggage into the trunk.

Men really are trash, I think and laugh to myself while getting into the driver's seat when I realize that Luke is already there, right beside me.

I glance at him and his gives me a harsh glare. The expression on his face makes my stomach churn for a weird reason, and this is where the anxiety makes its come back. I quickly look away to avoid the awkward eye contact.

"So, they gave you a fucking Prius?" He says, eyeing the car in a ridiculous expression as if it was the green and black car that Mr. Bean drove.

"Is it bad?"

"No, It's just that this whole situation doesn't make any sense"

"Yeah", I say slowly nodding, as if to agree.

I divert my attention from Luke and adjust the mirrors of car, recheck my seat belt and assure that the doors and trunk are locked. I haven't drove a car in months, and all i can think about while my drive to airport was the awful car crashes they show on TV, while my mind screams I hate this, I hate this, I hate this.

"Will you just get this thing to fucking move?", he said, annoyed with me now. It did not help in easing my nerves.

"S-sorry, I'm just nervous", I manage to squeak out

This is going to be a long ride.
