My eyes glued onto the monitor on my desk, as I skimmed through the case that I was no longer assigned. But I looked through it anyways, feeling a slight bit left out.

Maybe I could help on the sidelines. But I think Hank may get mad because I'm too stubborn to let this go.

I sighed, stretching my arms up and my legs. I leaned back against the chair and dipped my head up, staring at the lit up ceiling. I spun around in circles, counting each spec of dot on the ceiling.

After what felt like hours but really it's only been ten minutes, I saw Rupert and Hank making their way towards me.

I jumped up from my seat, a small smile laced my lips.

"Finally, took you long enough," I spoke up sarcastically.

I walked next to Rupert, jokingly looking around his neck. "So? Did he bite?"

Rupert blushed, which only provoked me to continue for my amusement.

"I guess I'm learning new things about you," I snickered.

"For fuck's sakes, (Y/N). Cut it out," Hank growled.

"Sorry," I shrugged.

He sighed, shaking his head at my immaturity.

"So? Any luck?" I asked, tilting my head to take a good look at Hank's troubled expression.

"Not enough. It would be nice if we could probe Rupert's memories so that we can examine his figure, maybe a tattoo, a mole, or anything. Small details."

"Yeah, as far as my memory goes, I don't have any of those captured in my memories," Rupert looked away, clearly disappointed with himself.

But nothing was his fault, there was no need for him to be too hard on himself.

"Hey," I lightly jabbed his arms with my elbows. "That's not your fault. Don't worry about it."

Hank nodded, agreeing, "yeah... Man. Only if Con-"

He cut himself off before finishing what he was going to say. He looked at me worriedly, afraid he might've triggered me.

I knew what he was going to say.

I saw Hank purse his lips together tightly in a sour expression, hiding his lips completely.

I smiled, reassuring him that I was okay. I chuckled softly, "yeah... I'm sure Connor would've been a great help."

He quickly changed the topic, his tongue tumbling after each words, "uh, you heard about what happened to Eden Club?"

I exhaled a short laugh through my nose from hearing the old, familiar name.

That place had been shut down a while ago because it was objectifying androids.

I crossed my arms, uttering with interest. "What happened? Entertain me."

"Well..." he started off raising his eyebrow with amusement. "It's back open for business. Not sure when it happened but it is."

"Really? Why's that?"

"A lot of the androids just wanted a job where they can just make easy money. I mean they got the skill for it."

"Oh," I nodded. "Of course you would know," I taunted him, a smirk tugged one corner of my lips.

"Actually," he raised both his eyebrows, returning the smartass smirk. "I thought you should go and check it out... looks like you need it."

I blushed slightly, my lips parted, flabbergasted. I glanced at Rupert with embarrassment.
