I was in one of those situations again.
Those one's where your in shocked silence, where what was happening was too far out of your comprehension that you could only sit there and stare. This situation was happening a little too frequently for my liking, but this took the icing on the layered cake I called life.
Not even a minute ago, I had been abducted by a familiar smoke, and was now sitting in the warehouse that the League of Villains operated in. Still in my school uniform, I sat on the crate and watched the group interact, Dabi deadpanning every single thing anyone said, Toga (Who I found out was the blonde) was platting my hair while giggling and confessing to her love of Stain, Shigaraki was scolding some dude who I was yet to meet, and the purple smoke was standing by me, seemingly waiting for me to run away.
"So did you catch any of that, Azumi?" Shigaraki asked, turning to me. I blinked, realizing he wasn't scolding the dude, but telling him what the plan was.
"Not a single word" I deadpanned. His expression instantly dropped, and he growled, scratching his neck in annoyance as he turned to my childhood friend.
"Are you sure it's worth it? She seems like a waste of time" Shigaraki growled.
"None of us have seen her in battle, but she is the daughter of our enemy. So she's out best hope" Dabi agreed. Shigaraki scowled, before turning back to me.
"Have you ever seen this warehouse?" Shigaraki asked me, stalking towards me. I leaned back against the crate, squinting my eyes slightly in thought as I gazed at the plastic roof.
"It's hazy... But I'm pretty sure my father showed me once. Something about how I needed to memorize it for the time I became a villain" I said thoughtfully. Shigaraki halted in his path, and a sinister grin curled across his lips. I struggled not to shiver at the psychotic look in his eyes, they reminded me of my father.
"You might actually be of use" He chuckled darkly. I returned my gaze to him, my eyes cold with boredom and my own irritation.
"I don't remember ever agreeing to go with your plan" I said. Toga then threw her self onto me, wrapping her arms around my shoulder.
"No, you didn't! But don't you want to help your best friend?" Toga asked, grinning brightly at me. I squinted my eyes slightly at her, but didn't answer. It wasn't worth it, I was already in danger, I didn't need to worsen my chances of getting out alive.
However, when I heard the grit of rubber on concrete, I glanced over to find Dabi striding over me. My body tensed, knowing that he would have the final blow, the argument that would win me over. He came up beside me, leaning against the crate, with an unnecessarily small gap between us.
"I remember you saying something about helping us if you dethroned your father. However, I want you to think about this. As soon as your father get's out of prison, and he will, he will go straight for UA. He know's the faces of your closest friends now, and he will show no mercy. With the symbol of peace out of action, you're not nearly as safe" Dabi chuckled to me. Realization came over me fast, and I realized he was right. My father had broken out of jail before, he was just biding his time so he could kill all of my friends in one swoop.
My thoughts then moved onto Aki and Aoi, and I felt my hands become sweaty in fear. I could not loose anymore family, I just got my mother back, I did not want innocent people to face the things my mothers was forced through. She was forever scared and flinched at any sound of violence, yelling, anything that might threaten or hurt someone else.
"Think of the things your father did to you and your family" Dabi whispered into my ear, his lips brushing against the lobe. I threw my self off the crate and stumbled away from him, my eyes squinted in a silent warning, that they all ignored.
"I don't understand. If we destroy his warehouse, how is that going to ruin my father?" I asked.
"There is a hierarchy to villains. Your father is currently at the top, but is slowly dropping. If we destroy his warehouse, then he doesn't have anywhere he owns. Which means we will become the top, and your father won't dare to rear his face again" Dabi explained. I shook my head wildly, taking a step back when Dabi took a step forward.
"My father is insane. He doesn't care about the hierarchy. He's similar to Stain in a sense, that he has to eradicate heroes. However, he doesn't care of our mindset. He want's to ruin everything, he want's to be the ruler of everything so he can control everyone and make society 'right' and 'safe' again" I denied, continuing to walk away from the group, who was slowly stalking towards me.
"So let's get rid of his weapons. Without anyone to back him up, he's weak" Dabi responded, speeding up his steps.
"Shall I remind that he was once the third ranked hero? And with his quirk, he can control anyone he wants" I said, following his movements. However, I felt my back collide with the wall and Dabi rushed forward to try pin me against the wall. I dropped to a squat, rolling out of his trap.
"You know the weakness of his quirk, after all, you hold the same quirk" Dabi smirked. I flinched, my whole body coiling in absolute dread. How did they know!? A smirk curled across all of their lips at my reaction, a dark aura seemingly surrounding them.
"You haven't told anyone, have you? The true strength of your fathers quirk?" Shigaraki chuckled, striding closer to me. I rose from my squat, keeping my form calm. However, my eyes glanced everywhere around me, skimming for any dangers. I was slowly being lead into a corner.
"We know what you did to that kid, all those years ago" Shigaraki whispered. It was barely said, a throw away comment that seemed so much louder because of the silence within the warehouse. However, absolute horror coiled through me at the memory I had forgotten of my childhood. The one act that solidified the idea of me being able to be a villain to my father.
The time I traumatized that young girl.
"Come now Azumi, don't be so easily manipulated. I expected better from someone who sent our hierarchy into such a disarray" Shigaraki chuckled, his smirk pulling even further across his face. Deciding I had had enough, before any of them could blink I had summoned a portal and stepped through. In the frozen time, I could see them just about to react, as I ran out of the warehouse.
Muttering profanities under my breath, I ran all the way to my internship. Appearing in the park, I stumbled out of the portal and successfully scaring the hell out of my teachers. They where about to scold me, until they saw how out of breath I was, and how much I was shaking.
"Azumi?" Moonstone asked, confused at my appearance. My eyes snapped up to meet hers, my breath coming out in large plumes in the air that was slowly getting colder. A sense of anger and desperation was in my eyes, sending a shiver down their spines at the pure emotion radiating from my form.
"I have something to tell you, and it's urgent"
