"So, you're basically Elsa, right?"
••••••••••••••••Aria was having a strange day, that was for sure. After spending a night at Avengers tower in what could be seen as a padded cell in your nearest insane asylum, she was about ready to get her abilities under control. These powers confused her to no end, similar to how a child is first confused with how to tie their lace up shoes. Even if it seemed like rocket science to the blonde, it was a piece of cake to most who had them.
These special capabilities only kicked into her blood stream recently, almost as if it were a sleeping pill. Suddenly, she had them, just as to waiting a little after taking said pill, the person was tired after it fully took affect.
She hasn't been bothered by low temperatures all her life, that was probably the first warning sign. Aria should have known the moment everyone around her was vocal about how cold it felt in her aura that there was something up. That was the real yield sign along this road of her power discovery.
Even if these powers were quite the conundrum, she could never despise the feeling of freezing temperatures. The cold made her happy, it comforted her in times of loss, calmed her in times of stress. Aria Russel wasn't herself without the cold, and that was that.
Surrounding her was cushioned walls and floors, the sickening white of the fabric disgusting Aria. The silence of her own screeching voice, the metal door shutting her out from the human race, the way how she was nose blind to the scent of her horrible hygiene, everything made her want to vomit.
Worst of all was the hours on hours she was left with her own thoughts. The voices would speak to her throughout the day, talking of how she lacked a family. Aria knew that already, she didn't want to spend the rest of her teenage years in this cell of confinement hearing how she singlehandedly ruined a chance at family over and over again.
Over the time she's been in this cell of hell, Aria could be found kicking parts of the protruding cushioned floor or screaming at the top of her lungs, there was no in-between. At the moment, tears fell from her baby blues and dripped onto her hand, freezing at contact. She stared at her palms and watched the phenomenon occur before her, a flurry of questions flooding all at once.
But suddenly, the flurry ceased. And with that came the creaking noise of her metal door opening. Standing under the metal frame was none other than Tony Stark. Aria scowled, remembering he was the one who insisted on "solitary" confinement. He stood clad in his usual sickening sunglasses and suit jacket, just the sight of him angering Aria. "What do you want?" She snarled, crossing her arms above her bent knees in her sitting position.
Tony kept calm, ignoring the freezing climate, "Depends, what do you want?"
The question seemed simple; freedom. But the answer was quite difficult on its own. Aria wanted not only freedom, but she wanted family, a home, recognition, an ordinary life, and hell, she even wanted to go to school! She just wanted the average life of a teenager. So, she answered with just that, "I want out of here and into an ordinary life, Stark."
Tony replied, "I don't understand why you seem so upset if you're the one who came here." This infuriated her to no end.
"I came in hopes of controlling my powers so I can fit in among civilization," She spit at the man, "Not be locked up like a guinea pig."
Tony sighed, "We have been working on a solution to suppress your powers outside of the tower, if you will be patient and stay here until it's done, we can get you into a home quickly."
Aria looked up, evident shock replacing her upset expression. She began to stutter, attempting to make words come out of her mouth, "R-really?" She didn't get an answer back, instead she heard the noise of her doors lock. She still didn't know whether she could trust this or not, but Aria knew as time continues on, she'll know eventually.

Aria woke to the creeping again, yet it was louder and slower than before. She opened her eyes and awoke from her slumber, still sitting on the floor with her back against the snowy, cushioned walls. In walked in a boy, his gaze falling on the frail figure of Aria. She took one look at the boy and immediately knew he was the one in the classic Spider-Man spandex. She had hurt this boy, nearly froze him, left him covered in wounds, all because she couldn't control herself. The guilt rained over Aria quickly, giving her anxiety too early in the morning.
The boy held a tiny jewelry box in his left hand, walking toward Aria and extending out his right, "My names Peter." Aria took a look at his hand, then glanced upward to see a nervous smile and glimmering chocolate eyes. The nervous smile was what she paid attention to. He was nervous, frightened even. Of her. At this point, Aria would be hyperventilating. However, after spending days alone in an enclosed cell, she felt used to the panic.
Aria glanced down at her hand cautiously before looking into Peter's eyes and shaking his hand, "Aria Russel" Her face remained emotionless, slightly intimidating Peter. A small silence erupted.
Peter awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, "So," He started off, "You're basically Elsa, right?" That sentence caught Aria off guard.
Elsa? What did that mean? Was it a compliment? A diss? A type of person maybe? The word confused her thoroughly. Her eyebrows knitted in confusion, Aria still attempting to work out what it meant herself. After giving up, she questioned Peter, "What's an 'elsa'?" Her head was cocked to the side like that of a curious puppy. Peter's eyes widened, then he tried to hold back a laugh. He made fun of her, didn't he?
She ignored the for now, Aria focusing on the box in his hand. It was tiny and black, but not small enough to hold a pair of earrings only. Peter noticed her staring at it, "Oh! This is for you." He held it out for her, smiling- what was with this kid and smiling?
Aria took the box out of his hand, the icy girl opening it quickly. Within the box was a pair of thin, bangle-like bracelets. They had little blue jewels on them, eight in total on each one. She looked at them strangely, "What do these do?" She had no use for boring, useless jewelry at the moment, so she knew it must have had a second use to it.
Peter smirked, "These will act as mini inhibitors," Aria looked up at him, "You have to go back into civilization eventually, right?"
Aria smiled for once. This was what Tony was working on, huh? It was perfect. She sat up slightly to pull Peter down into a thankful hug, whispering "Thank you" until Peter hugged back.
Now, I know it's been a while, and I'm sorry about it. Writers block ruins a schedule, eh? Anyway, don't be fooled by the hug, Aria and Peter will never be romantically involved, that was already cleared up in the summary lightly. I hope you guys liked this long awaited chapter, and maybe Aria? She's probably my favorite OC I've ever made tbh. Thanks for reading, love ya.
