Meeting The Two
Ivy looked up at the cherry blossoms, she didn't know that they could survive in the messy seasons of England. I mean, this was the last school available, all the other schools denied her due to her 'rough' past. Memories flashed before Ivy's eyes, almost as if she was in a trance. Her 'father' yelling, screaming almost at her 'mother' about something she'd long forgotten. In third person she saw herself, being thrown into one of the sinks at her recent school, she imagined the pain of the sink hitting the back of her head and how amazed she was that she hadn't been knocked out... then the kicking, name calling, rude remarks and the one thing she would never forget, when she stood up using what little energy she had left she yelled at them, then attacked not even knowing what she was doing, she just swung at them which resulted in a fight that left blood, sweat and tears on the floor of that bathroom.. Almost as if Ivy was being awoke she heard voices, real voices slowly becoming louder, she looked behind her to see who the voices belonged to. The 'booth group' was approaching her, laughing, texting and chatting. Ivy turned back around facing the trunk of the tree, she knew that she had to make an effort to ignore them or she would just be in a more tangled mess then she already was.
"Hey!"
Ivy froze for a second and then took a breath in. Maybe they're not that bad, they could be nice..Maybe.... Ivy turned to them, the two boys from before stood about a metre and a half away from her, a part of their group behind them, just looking at either her, each other or their phones.
"Didn't you hear me? I said 'Hey'" The boy with the brown hair and slightly tanned skin repeated.
"Yeah, I heard you..." Ivy muttered, slightly scared for an unknown reason. Their stance and following intimidated her, their 'I don't care' attitude she could slightly relate to, but their attitude was more 'I don't care, now here's hell' .
"Are you giving me attitude?" He asked again his pale friend letting out a light laugh.
"Depends what you believe 'attitude' is." Ivy responded, slowly overcoming her fear.
"Ohhhh, so you are." He responded to Ivy giving her a look that made her uncomfortable, he kinda looked Ivy up and down and rolled his eyes.
"What your deal?" Ivy asked, trying to speak emotionlessly.
"You, You're OUR deal." The tanned boy responded lightly nudging his friend.
"Mhmm, Okay. Well nice to meet you 'dealers' I don't even know you, but honestly I don't want to get to know you. So if you don't mind..." Ivy said lightly moving her head towards the right indicating for them to piss off.
"Oh you want us to leave." The pale one finally spoke up, speaking as if he was talking to a child.
"Correct." Ivy said now turning her back to them.
"Oh no, we're being ignore Phil." Ivy could tell the tan one said.
"Correct." Ivy repeated.
Ivy could hear footsteps proceeding towards her but she just ignored them and just lightly tapped the table.
'The tanned one' approached her, quickly grabbing onto the back of her shirt and pulling it backwards aggressively, causing her to fall backwards, he backed away slightly just in time as her back hit the ground, her legs stuck in between the bench and the table.
"WHAT THE HELL!" She yelled, her hoodie flying over her face., hiding her embarrassment. Laughter could be heard from others and a few clicks from pictures being taken. Ivy quickly got up, ignoring a few rude remarks. Ivy stood up facing them.
"Now you know not to ignore us." The tanned boy said with a smirk.
Ivy gave them both a glare, the back of her head and her neck were in pain...
"Just leave me alone!" Ivy yelled towards them.
"And what? Let you have a pleasureful year? Yeah right." The tanned one said with a roll of his eyes.
"Just, don't bug me alright!" Ivy responded still in rage.
"Why? Is that why you got ditched from your old school!?" The tanned one said, now getting slightly enraged himself. Ivy just looked at him, her reaction gave the obvious answer, yes.
"Oh Phil, we have another 'rebel'" The tanned one mocked turning to face Phil, trying to hide a devious smile.
"Pfttt." Sighed Phil rolling his eyes as 'the tanned one' turned back towards Ivy.
An awkward tension filled the air, Ivy just looked down at the ground, not in defeat although it looked like it.
"Are you gonna go now?" Ivy asked her anger slightly cooled down. She was looking down at the ground, her hair creating an almost curtain.
"Fine, but we won't be gone for long..." The tanned one muttered, Phil pulling him slightly towards Ivy's left, they all walked away leaving Ivy in a pool of her own emotions. Ivy sat back in her seat, turning to face the trunk of the tree. Great, just another one of these schools. Ivy thought to herself, she left out a light sigh and laid her head on the table in defeat.
