Testing

"Why do you have big eyes?" Ashton asked me. "Ummm, I was just thinking about all the things I can't do with a sprained ankle?" I replied, but it came out as a question. He didn't believe me, but he dropped it. He carried me back to my room, then left. The moment he closed the door, Imogen said," Aston Irwin just carried you, do you know how lucky you are?" "Not really considering that I've been dying to come here, and before we could do an activity, I sprained my ankle," she nodded in agreement.

Next day

There was a loud knock on the door, I checked the time on my phone. 3:30. Who is up this early? I open the door to find 2 cops standing there. I gave them a weird look. "Ummmm, can I help you?" I asked. "Yes, we need you to come with us," "I didn't do anything, I swear," I said. But I followed them anyways, not really having a choice. We were on a remote island, so we had to take a boat to town. "Will someone explain what's going on?" I said. "We just need to do a test then you can go back to doing your activities," my eyes widened. When we got to the hospital, the cops escorted me in. After I did what they said, they took me back. It was 5:30 when we got back, so nobody was awake yet, I did not want to tell my parents I left with two strangers, I got into bed and fell asleep.

9:00

Imogen was shaking me. "We are going fishing today, get up!" I popped out of bed, completely forgetting about my ankle. I told her to go get more ice, so I laid on the floor until she got back. She came back with Ashton, I gave her a weird look. He came over, picked me up, then put me on the bed. He left without saying a word, then came back a minute later with a wrap. He wrapped my ankle for me. "Thanks," "No problem," he said and gave me a hug. I was a little surprised, I mean a famous person, hugging me, a girl from a small town in Kansas. I hugged him back. I got another image in my head, it was me and that boy again, I was in bed crying, probably a nightmare, not wanting him to leave, so he stayed with me all night. Ashton let go, said bye to us, then left. "Ok, it's nine, and the boat leaves at 11:00, why did u wake me?" "What happened yesterday, like when you fell?" She asked. "Ummm, I knew it would look stupid to just start dancing so I came up with a backstory. Then, as a tripped, I rolled my ankle," I replied.

After fishing

As we pulled up to the dock, I saw the two cops from this morning and two new ones standing on the dock. Three of them grabbed my parents and Brandon and the other came to me as I got off the boat, but he didn't grab me. "You three are being arrested for kidnap," My heart shattered, if they went to jail, I would go to an orphanage. "Who did they kidnap?" I asked. They all looked at me, the cops, my parents, and Brandon. That image of me being kidnapped, I thought about it, then the second half of that memory came to me, the woman that dragged me, I saw her face, it was my "mother". She dragged me to a man, he raised a pan, as if he was going to hit me, then the memory ended. They handcuffed them then took them away. I started to cry, this was so hard to cope. I have been living a lie for 7 years. Then, after I calmed down a little bit, they took me inside. "I'm so sorry, we had no idea, they just told us you were adopted but to not to tell you," my "aunt" said. Then my heart sank deeper. Me and Imogen aren't cousins, now only friends. I loved her being my cousin. "Your kidnappers were part of a group that kidnaps little kids, hits them in the head so they get amnesia, raise them as there own, then kill you when you turn 20. They weren't even married," the officer who came to me on the dock explained. My heart sank even more, it was practically in my foot by now. "Who's my real family?" "They live in Australia, you have a younger brother who's 10, an older brother and sister." He said. Australia! I cried even harder. Then I heard people running down the stairs I looked back to see Ashton, Luke, Calum, and Michael. Ashton looked at me and ran over to me when he saw me crying.
