Chapter 3

Keith and shiro along with their daughter were all chilling out on the couch, watching tv that was until Callie started crying. Keith panicked and gave her to Shiro. Shiro heard her small tummy growl. "Keith come feed her." Shiro said as he got up and took Callie with him to the kitchen. Keith gulped and followed Shiro to the kitchen. He gave Callie to Keith and started preparing a bottle for her. Callie continued to squeal and scream and Keith thought of something that his mothered used on him. He ran his thumb up Callie's nose softly and started rocking her as he did so. She calmed down and smiled at Keith. Shiro watched him and handed him the prepared bottle. "Ok so you do know how to feed her right?" Shiro asked. "No..." Keith said quietly as he walked back to the couch and sat down carefully Shiro sat beside him and showed him how to feed and burp her. "Okay, I think I got this." Keith said as he held Callie the proper way and started feeding her. " there you go babe...just like that" Shiro said as he leaned his head on Keith's shoulder, cooing at Callie as she sucked on the bottle. "Y"know she kinda looks like you Keith." Shiro said softly and he kissed Keith's cheek. "Nah I don't think so." Keith said "I do." Shiro said as he smiled and held Keith close. Callie finished her bottle and was wrapped up in a blanket while being held by Keith. Keith yawned and leaned into Shiro while watching a movie. Shiro was too into the movie that he didn't notice that Keith drifted off to sleep. The movie finished and shiro looked beside him to see that his husband and daughter were sleeping. He smiled and grabbed Callie carefully so he doesn't wake neither of them up. He took Callie up stairs and laid her in her crib and gave her a stuffed lion. He back down stairs and didn't find Keith on the couch. "Babe?" Shiro asked out. "I-I'm in here..." Keith quietly said, Shiro followed his voice to the kitchen and saw Keith slumped over a chair of the dining table, panting. "Keith are you okay? Do we need to go to the hospital?" Shiro asked frantically. Keith shook his head and cuddled into Shiro and wrapped shiros arm around him. "J-just hold me please..." Keith said as he teared up. "Another nightmare?" Shiro asked hesitantly, Keith nodded and gripped shiros shirt as he let a couple of tears go. "Do you wanna go back to bed? Callie's in her crib asleep." Shiro asked as he layed his chin on Keith's head while rubbing his back. Keith shrugged, Shiro picked him and took him to their bedroom and laid him down. "Nothing will hurt you babe, I promise you that." Shiro said as he kissed Keith's hand and wiped away his tears. Keith gave a faint smile and took of his shirt and laid in bed. Shiro laid beside him and went to sleep. Keith couldn't sleep so he got up very carefully and walked outside on the porch and listened to the rain beating down on the tin roof.

Callie woke up and started crying loudly. Keith heard her and rushed up stairs to see Callie screaming her eyes out. "Oh baby, what's wrong?" Keith said as he picked her up and cuddled her close. Callies cries softened as he she layed her head on Keith's shoulder. Keith stopped rocking and Callie started to cry more. "Okay okay...hmm let's try this." Keith said as he sat down in a rocking chair and rubbed his thumb up Callie's nose softly and he started singing softly. "Blackbird singing in the dead of night take these broken wings and learn to fly all your life."keith sung softly and he rocked Callie. Callie smiled up at Keith and giggled in happiness. "Hm you like my song? My mother sang it to me when I was fussy." Keith said softly. Keith smelled something foul. He smelled Callie and instantly jerked back. "Oh my god, how can something so cute smell so bad!" Keith said as he held Callie away from his nose. Callie giggled with blushed cheeks as she chewed on her thumb.

Keith took her to the changing station and laid her down. When Keith took off her diaper he immediately gagged and stepped away. "God! It's everywhere!!" Keith said. Callie giggled more. Keith went to the restroom and ran a warm bath. Shiro woke up and yawned than flipped over and didn't feel keith so he leaned up and got off the bed than stretched.  And walked down the hallway to the bathroom. Keith held Callie away from him and walked to the bathroom as well. Keith walked in on Shiro peeing. "Shiro!!" Keith yelled as he shielded Callie's eyes. Shiro finished and washed his hands and kissed Keith's forehead than Callie's. "I love you." Shiro said as he walked back to the bedroom and laid down. Keith blushed and put Callie in the bath and bathed her.  He picked Callie up and and wrapped her in a little lion towel. "Aw your adorable." Keith said as he squished Callie's cheeks together. Keith and Callie went down stairs and Keith put her down in a pile of toys. "Papa's going to fix him a cup of coffee, he'll be right back." Keith said softly as he kissed her head and walked away. Callie started to cry as she tried to crawl.
