Whaaa three chapters in one day? Am I feeling okay? XD I debated for awhile if I wanted to post this chapter now or wait until tomorrow so that the last two chapters could get some more reads first, but decided to just post it now because hey why not.
I'm just excited. This is the very last episode of season two. Last! How did it all go by so fast? Season two is my favorite, so I'm kinda sad that it's almost over, but at the same time I'm excited to get on with the story. And rest assured, readers, because of how many of you are reading these books, season three is happening.
Without further ado, here's the endgame. Enjoy!
Episode 26 - Darkest Hour
[Amanda]
How did it all go so wrong?
Well, that's an easy answer. You were an idiot and let the Cons capture you and the others.
Shut up.
My thoughts were jumbled in my mind, not allowing me to form a single plan. My heart was pounding so loud that it was all I could hear as the silence stretched on. Around me, the ruins of Cybertron loomed, rusting and crumbling away. The Omega Lock was the only thing we knew of that could restore the planet to its former glory, the only thing that could bring Primus himself back to life, and the Autobots had seized it, along with the four Omega Keys. Everything had went exactly according to plan until... it wasn't. Until the Cons figured out where we lived.
No, they figured out where I lived, and I was the one who lead them straight to Miko, Jack, and Raf. If I had just taken them straight back to the base like I should have, things would be a lot different right now. We wouldn't be trapped in glass pods, and we probably wouldn't be in the clutches of three of Megatron's most trusted allies.
"Not how I wanted to spend my first trip to Cybertron," Miko's whine broke the silence as she kicked the glass of her pod.
"Starscream," That was all Megatron had to say for Starscream to lift up my pod so that it was in line with his face.
"Amandaaaa," The Con sang. Great, now we're on a first name basis. No one told me that. "Time to come out and playyyy." He punctuated that by scraping his nails/claws on the side of the glass, making me wince at the high pitched noise. I spun around, refusing to be the victim here.
"Do your worst," I said, my voice coming out surprisingly strong despite my fear. "The Autobots were always prepared to sacrifice themselves for my planet. I'd do the same for theirs in an instant."
"Same here," Jack said firmly, glaring at Soundwave, who held his pod.
"Me too, creepy!" Miko declared.
Raf gulped, but glanced back at Soundwave. "Mhm."
"Perhaps we should oblige them," Megatron mused and I glared at the back of his ugly bucket head.
Optimus was still in a battle ready position, his new Star Saber held out in front of him. He was silent for a moment, and that was when our eyes met. That was also when I saw what he was about to do. I shook my head rapidly my eyes widening, but he didn't listen.
He never fraggin' listens.
"If my decision dooms the future of the Autobot cause on Cybertron," The Prime announced. "So be it. But I will never forsake our human allies." He swung his sword around and shoved it into the ground before stepping back, joining the line of Autobots.
