Chapter Sixteen

Have I mentioned this episode is one of my favorite? Well, in case I haven't, it really is and I really liked writing this one. Hope y'all enjoy as much as I did!

  Despite the problems we already had, Optimus had insisted the Autobots be transported to the scene to help the situation. They had returned shortly after, faces grim, and Agent Fowler was taking a call at the moment about the situation.

  "No, General Bryce." he was saying. "Optimus Prime did not attack our boys- Because I was with Prime when I received the alert!- Yes sir, the Autobots were at your base, but only in response to the initial attack-"

  I walked over to Optimus, getting as close as possible from my spot on the platform to where he stood. "Did you see who attacked the military base?"

  He shook his head slightly. "Only the retreating truck, which did resemble me."

  I heard someone walk up behind me and turned to see Finn moving to stand next to me.

  "Reports say that there's over twenty thousand dollars in damage," he said. "No one was killed, a hand full of people hurt, but nothing too severe. We got lucky."

  Optimus' gaze went to the side, indicating he was deep in thought as a frown tugged on his lips. I could tell the situation was really bothering him, but the fact that we didn't know what was going on made me feel powerless to reassure him.

  "Yes sir." Agent Fowler said into his phone. "I understand." He hung up.

  "So, what's the damage?" Miko asked.

  Fowler shook his head. "All military personnel are under strict orders to destroy any and all Bots on sight."

  "What?!" I exclaimed.

  "Are you kidding?!" Finn demanded.

  "But they're innocent!" Jack added.

  I nodded. "Optimus was framed and we have the facts to prove it! He couldn't have attacked the military base while also being here with us!"

  "Though unfortunate, the military order changes nothing." The Prime spoke up. "Our imposter clearly poses a grave threat to humanity."

  "A 30-foot tall transforming imposter." Agent Fowler commented.

  For some reason, his words sent a whirl of thoughts through my mind, most from a certain database I had caught up on reading.

  -army is to consist of duplicate robots-

  -dimensions are a height of 30 feet-

  -to aid the goal of forcing the military under our control-

  "They actually did it." I blurted, causing everyone to look at me. I only looked at Finn. "They're creating their army of robots."

  "MECH." He said grimly.

  Ratchet nodded in agreement. "MECH abducted Breakdown and, by all indications, deconstructed him from cranial chamber to heel strut."

  "I was there." Bulkhead said, confirming this.

  "And we know that, more recently, they obtained Starscream's T-Cog." Optimus spoke up.

  "Which they've obviously installed in a knock off of you-" I said.

  "-Which then scanned the right vehicle form.-" Finn continued.

  "-Fill the tank with energon-" Raf said.
