Vince POV
I opened the door and sat down on the available chair while I watched her sleep. She's beautiful even without make-up. I wonder how Creo can cheat on this angel for other girls. I saw a stray hair and gently brushed it off of her flawless face.
"Sarah, I think you are really meant to be with me." I accidentally said out loud. "See what you can do to me?" I added barely a whisper. I wasn't able to resist the urge and gently kissed her on the forehead.
"Creo..." She mumbled.
Now, that hurts. She even dreams about that guy. "Can't you see that I'm always here for you? I will never do what that guy did. Please realize it soon, my angel."
"I'm glad...togeth...Creo" she mumbled again with a smile on her face.
Deep inside me, I cursed Creo more than I can count, but out loud I woke her up. I can't bear her calling Creo's name any longer.
After a few call, she still wasn't awake, so I shouted. "WAKE UP!!"
Sarah suddenly sat up and was reaction-less for a few seconds; she rubbed her eyes then looked at her blanket. "Hey Darla-"
"Sorry, I'm not her." I broke her off.
She looked at me menacingly, "Vince Gonzales..."
"I'm glad you remember my name!" I said. 'Here it goes again' is what I thought.
"Why are the hell are you in my room?!"
"Quit shouting at me. It hurts you know? The manager gave me a spare key, happy now?" I faked a frown. "It took me a lot of time just to visit you. Is this how you treat guests?"
"You're not a freaking guest. Why would the manager give you my room key? I don't even remember telling you where I live! Are you a stalker or something?"
The truth is, yes. I've been stalking you but of course I won't tell you that.
"Dream on. Who would want to stalk an ugly girl like you? I just told her that I'm your boyfriend and there! She gave me the key." I told her the truth. The security was so lax that even a robber can get in.
"What are you doing here? What do you want?" She demanded.
She still looks beautiful even when she's angry. "Nothing, I just missed your ugly face, so I visited. Man, you do look uglier after removing your make-up." I teased and lied.
"Shut up. Why did you even wake me up? I was sleeping so peacefully until you freakingly woke me up!"
"Sleeping peacefully? You were calling Creo's name in your sleep. How could you have a peaceful sleep with that guy in your dreams?"
She stared at me for a while, and her eyes observed me. "How do you know my ex-boyfriend's name? I'm very sure that I never mentioned his name when I spoke with you."
That is one detail that I forgot. "You did mention his name. It was just once though. You must have forgotten." I lied.
"No I didn't. You really are a-"
She wasn't able to continue what she was saying when someone opened the door.
"Vince! What are you doing here? How did you open the door?" Darla said. "This is a girl's dorm, you know?"
"I know. I just came to visit. The manager downstairs gave me a spare key."
"Do you guys know each other?" Sarah asked both of us. We looked at her at the same time.
"Umm...yeah. That was what I was supposed to tell you a while ago before you yawned." Darla answered then looked at me. "Do you want to join us for dinner? The cook prepared extras. I guess he saw you come in."
Sarah answered abruptly for me, "No! He is not-"
"I would love to!" I interrupted. I really like irritating and teasing her. She looked so irritated that it made me smile.
"Get that smile off of your smug face." Sarah said as she stood up and passed by me. She went inside the comfort room to take a shower before having dinner.
Darla patted my shoulder and sat on the bed, "She really needs a bit more time."
"What are you talking about?" I curiously asked.
She glanced at the door where Sarah entered and listened until the shower was on, "She might be slow, but I'm not. I can see you following her almost everyday and look at her with your puppy dog eyes. I can tell that you like her."
"I don't-"
"Don't lie to me. I know you. We've known each other ever since we were little. We grew up in the same orphanage. The least you can do is to not lie to me." She seriously looked at me.
"Ok, yes, I do like her. I hate Creo for leaving her and breaking her heart, but, at the same time, this is my opportunity to have her." I admitted.
"Exactly what I was telling you. She needs more time to recuperate. Sarah's not really in the condition to have another love life yet. Creo was her first boyfriend. It's her first time to have a break up, don't you think she needs a little bit of time to clear her mind?"
I looked at her and sighed, "I think I can wait. As long as Creo doesn't make a move on her."
"I'm glad you understand." Darla said. We were silent for a very longtime; thinking of things that only we, ourselves, can hear.
"I really love-" As if on cue, Sarah came out of the bath, wearing a plain pink t-shirt and blue maong shorts.
"I'm ready" she said. "Shall we go?"
I smiled at her, "You look fat in those short."
She rolled her eyes and I laughed, "Whatever, jerk. Sorry for not pleasing your eyes."
"Oh! Its fine. It's just that my eyes can't take your ugliness any longer." I teased.
"Lets go, Darla. I'm really hungry and I don't want to bother some people here who doesn't seem hungry." She said as she grabbed Darla by her hand and dragged her.
I think I'm starting to like her more and more each day.
