I'm so stupid. God I should've known Troy would never be knocking at my door. Wow. I should've known it'd only be a curious neighbor. Ugh.
I looked down at the boy's hand for a moment then back up at him, he was quite beautiful, I have to say. No, not handsome.
Beautiful.
As he smiled at me his dimples were clear, and adorable. I just grabbed his hand giving it a small shake and flashing him a weak smile, only weak enough to expose my own dimples.
He appeared to seem as though he would be standing there talking for a while by the way he shifted standing positions. He opened his mouth to speak, but I cut him off, "Would you uh... Like to come in?" I asked.
He was silent for a moment then he smiled a bit wider and nodded, I stepped aside so the he could come in. I saw him stand there taking in his surroundings as if he was studying each individual piece of furniture and where it was. I turned to close the door, then as I turned back to Ashton I was met by those same hazel eyes that kept appearing everywhere. My eyes quickly shut closed, then slowly I peeked them open.
But.
The hazel eyes were still there.
I gasped, and took a step back, Ashton chuckled nervously, "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stand so close, uh, sorry," he said. He spoke with a heavy Australian accent.
I only nodded very subtly, trying to calculate all that had just happened, "Oh no it's fine, I was just a bit... uh.... caught off guard."
His eyebrows furrowed, "You seem shaken,"
I shook my head, "Oh no, I'm fine, really," I nodded with the same weak smile plastered on my face.
I walked around him and into the kitchen area, to avoid any further discussion on the topic.
As I walked into the kitchen I made my way to the counter, still a bit stunned from the whole thinking-Troy-was-at-my-door thing.
I set my hands on the black marble counter top, I heard Ashton walk in behind me, I looked back at him and he was still smiling, so I gave him another weak smile. I sighed and turned back to him, "I'm sorry, I'm being rude, it's just... I was expecting someone else I'm sorry. Please, have a seat. I'll fix us some tea!" I said and took the tea from the fridge. I heard him sit down as I took two cups from the cupboard.
I hope he likes tea.... I mean as far as I know everyone but me does. Sigh.
I poured it into the cups and set one in front of him, then sat down in the seat across from him. What am I even doing? I hate tea. Ugh. I'll deal. Just this once.
I brought the cup to my mouth and took a small sip, trying not to wince at the horrid fluid in my mouth.
He just smiled wider, I noticed, after he had been staring at me for a couple minutes. "Yes?" I chuckled. "Something wrong?"
"Oh, I'm sorry," he glanced down at his cup, "It's just," he looked up at me with a small smile, "You're really pretty... I didn't expect you to be..."
"Uh.... thanks?" I giggled.
He laughed, "It's just... Everyone kept telling me it was an old maid that had planned to move here."
I nodded, "Well I'm only 19."
He smiled wider, "I'm 20." I nodded again and his head fell to the side, "I still don't know your name though,"
I smiled, "That keeps the mystery between us," I whispered mysteriously sipping my tea.
He laughed, "Oh? You do seem like a mysterious girl..."
I shrugged, "Mostly just shy,"
"I like it." he smirked.
"Then I'll make sure you never know," I giggled. He was a cute boy, I had to admit.
He started chuckling again a minute later, "What?" I asked.
He shrugged a bit, "Oh, nothing, it's just... I sorta hate tea...." (A/N: FOR THIS PURPOSE ASHTON WILL HATE TEA OKAY? OKAY)
I nearly choked on mine, god damn it. I quickly got up and snatched it from him, rushing to the sink and dumping both cups out, "I'm so sorry! It's okay I do too! I just figured since ya know, most people do and-"
"No no it's alright," He chuckled raising a hand.
"I'm sorry," I chuckled nervously again, rubbing the back of my neck.
He just shrugged, "I should get going anyway, mystery girl," he laughed.
I nodded, "It was nice meeting you Ashton...."
"Irwin."
I nodded, "Ashton Irwin your name shall be." I smiled.
He waved, "I'll learn your name one day," he said walking out of this kitchen.
I giggled and went to follow him out, "Good luck with th-" I began, but walking over the threshold of the kitchen I saw he was gone and I raised an eyebrow, he couldn't.... Could he? Have walked out that fast? It was at least a 15 step walk from the kitchen to that front door, and I could've sworn I was right behind him.
Huh.
Weird things happening here.
Crazy even.

I was taking a few boxes down to the basement, to get them out of my way until I'm ready to unpack them. I opened the basement door and tugged on the string, the light switched on, revealing only stairs. I shrugged and picked the first box up. I began down the stairs.
Once making it down I peered into the darkness, I sighed and searched around for a light switch on the wall somewhere.
I took in a long breath through my nose, it reeked of death down here. Gross.
Probably just dead rodents like raccoon's or whatever that somehow sneaked in. This place was pretty abandoned for years.
I'll clear them later.
I finally found the light switch and flicked it on, lighting up the cold blue cement floor and showing me the washer and dryer. Many cobwebs scattered.
I walked across the floor to an empty space on the floor. I set the box down.
"Hello."
I jumped at the sudden male voice I heard behind me. I turned around quickly, my heart racing. I saw a boy around my age with purple colored hair standing there.
"W-who are you?" I asked, probably visibly trembling.
"The better question it," he stepped up to me with only danger in his eyes, "Who are you?"
