The Agent and The Bartender

Chapter 1~

I was walking to Rouge's new club, she begged me to drop by before work tomorrow

I bumped into someone, when I looked at who it was, it was my friend Mephilies

" Shadow, you need to look where your going, you could hurt someone " he rolled his eyes at me

" I know, I know, but I spaced out, considering the mission we have tomorrow " I rolled my eyes as well

He was about to reply, when he got a call from someone

" hey baby girl " he smiled, wait does he have a kid?

" i know you don't like that nickname, it's why I use it, anyways why did you call, I thought you were waiting for a taxi " his smile turned to a worried look

" oh, I'll be there in about 45 minutes, see you soon " he said as he looked at his watch

" you have a kid " I asked with a raised brow

" yes, I have daughter, I have to pick her up from the airport, the taxi driver she has is refusing to give her a ride because she's wet from the rain, some people are assholes " Mephilies growled

" oh, why did you never mention it before " I asked as I crossed my arms over my chest

" we'll talk about this later, if I'm not there soon she'll just start walking " he sighed as he walked to his car, it was out the front of a coffee shop

" fine see you later " I said as he got in and started the engine and then drove off

I continued to walk to Club Rouge, that's when I felt tiny droplets of water on my fur

" great " I huff to myself

{Mephilies's Pov}

I arrived, just as my daughter started to walk towards the crossing, it was pouring down outside

She opened the door and climbed in, I looked at her and saw how much she had grown

" hi Dad " She smiled brightly

" hey baby girl " she huffed in annoyance as I chuckled to myself

" come on, let's just get back to......wait where am I staying? " Sonic asked

" well I bought a house down the street for you a week ago and I filled it with everything you need " I said as I turned around the car and headed towards the outskirts of the city where I lived and bought the house

Sonic smiled and nodded

That's when I get a text from Shadow, dammit why can't he, I abruptly pushed the brakes on the car

" I'm in the car for five minutes and your already trying to kill me " Sonic joked, I rolled my eyes

" we're going to be here a while " I sighed, I hate traffic, may as well reply to Shadow then

'hey Mephilies, where are you?' I read the message he had sent me

'I'm on the highway and I'm stuck in traffic with my daughter' I replied

'Oh, Silver asked why can't you Chaos control' is what he sent back

'The last time Silver suggested that I had to explain everything to him, so tell him to stop being nieve!' I rolled my eyes as I sent it

" is everything ok " I heard my daughter ask

" I'm fine Sonic, just that one of my friends are annoying, wait scratch that most of them are annoying " I sighed as I smirked at her

She rolled her eyes and went back to playing games on her phone

After half an hour of silence I decided to ask her a question

" how are things with your boyfriend " I looked at her

" well we broke up two weeks ago " Sonic frowned

" what why?" I said without a second thought

" I caught him cheating on me with my best friend Sally, he said I was worthless and a mistake " she wiped her eyes as tears fell, my eyes widened as I looked into her eyes

" don't listen to a thing he says ,ok?" I asked, she nodded with a small smile

Soon the traffic cleared and we were headed towards her house, when we arrived I walked her in

" I'm sorry about your mother " I sighed as she paused and sighed

" she told me it was her time to go and that I needed to be strong and not be sad when she left, but to be happy, she said she would always be with me " I heard my daughter say sad she wiped her eyes

I hugged her as she cried, after awhile we said goodbye to each other and I left her to get settled in, I headed to the club
