Johnnie's POV:
When the bus drove in front of Chris' house, I didn't even wait until it was stopped. I ran through the front door of her house, screaming to wake her up.
"Chris!" I yelled, running to her bedroom, "Chris where are you!" Her bedroom door was closed so I broke it down. It was dark, and I couldn't see her. I couldn't hear her, either. Running back down the stairs and out the front door, Bryan and Cyr stopped me from sprinting around the house. I couldn't breathe, and what air I could get in was choked up by tears. I screamed again, tears streaming down my face, shaking.
"Chris!"
"Johnnie," said Cyr, trying to calm me down, "breathe. What happened?" He looked at Bryan, worried.
"She's- she's not in her room," I started looking everywhere around me, "I don't know where she is..."

I struggled to break the hold that Bryan and Cyr had on me. when I finally pulled away, I ran back into the house. BANG. I stopped dead in my tracks. Frantically turning around, I see the guys running towards me.
"Johnnie!" screams Damon, "are you okay?!"
I was still shaking with fear and anxiety when I answered, "yeah, I'm fine. What about you guys..?"
"Everyone here is good. Have you found Chris yet?" asked Damon.
"No, I'm scared.." My voice was shaking violently. Bryan grabbed my arm and brought me to the living room. He sat on the couch and told me to do the same.
"She'll be okay, Johnnie, I promise. Damon and Cyr are going to check the house, you're going to stay here with me, okay?"
"Bryan I can't do that!" I screamed in his face, "I need to find her!" I stood up and ran to Damon. Him and Cyr were heading down into the basement, and I pushed both of them out of the way and booked it down the stairs.

Immediately when I hit the floor, a waft of cigarette smoke hit me square in the face. When the guys joined me, the same thing happened to them. I dropped to my knees, crying.
"I thought Chris was straight edge? That means she doesn't smoke..." said Cyr. Bryan leaned over and whispered to Cyr, "I think that's why he's upset..."

I stood up and ran to the side room that's in the basement. "Chris!" I screamed as I opened the door.
"Holy shit Johnnie!"Chris yelled back at me. Wait, Chris! "Johnnie why the hell are you screaming?"
I ran over to her laying on the couch, picked her up and hugged her. "Oh god, Chris you're okay!" I said, tears of joy streaming down my face.
"Yes, of course I'm okay." she stopped and sniffed the air. "Who the hell is smoking in my basement..."
"That's what we wanted to know..." said Bryan, walking around the corner with the rest of the guys.
"What do you mean..." Chris replied, her voice beginning to shake. She turned back to me and began to talk. "Oh, and after you came in earlier, where did you go? I came down here looking for you but fell asleep."
I felt my eyes widen along with the guys, "We just got here 10 minutes ago, Chris. The bus made an, unexpected, stop."
"Yeah," said Damon, "we came straight here after your dad called Johnnie."
"What do you mean my dad... He's on business in Mexico right now..." We all looked at each other. My stomach was in my throat.
"If it wasn't your dad," asked Cyr, "then who was it..? They called from a blocked number but they said 'she's ok'."
"Yeah," I continued, "they asked for me and when I said yes he said don't worry she's ok. I just thought of you..."

As we kept talking, things got creepier. I stopped dead when I heard something move in a dark corner or the room.
"Johnnie don't worry, it's just the cat being an ass," said Chris, "there's nothing to be worried about." She hugged me and gave me a kiss, trying to calm my shaking body. And it would've worked if the cat hadn't have run down the basement stairs towards Chris, nowhere near the corner where the noise came from. I felt Chris tense behind me as she grabbed my arm.

The guys began making a human barrier around me and Chris, backing us into the corner. That's when he began to talk.
"Oh, don't be worried guys, I'm just here to say hello." A tall, skinny man emerged from the dark. "It's not like I'm going to hurt you," he said, "unless, of course, you decide to hurt me..."
He had a very ominous voice, and it was scary. As he took one step forwards, we all took one step back.
"Don't come any closer to us," threatened Cyr, his voice strong but shaky, "now what do you want with us."
"Oh I want nothing to do with you boys," he said walking closer, "I just need the girl."

All of us were scared sh*tless at this point, but that wasn't the worst. The worst was yet to come. As he walked closer, he fiddled with something in his pocket. When we couldn't move back any further, he pulled out what looked to be a small hand gun. I heard him cock the gun, and then POP I heard it go off. In a matter of seconds, I felt a sharp pain on the top of my head and I blacked out. The last thing I heard was screams.
