Reign POV- 

It had been centuries since the great war or victory as the wolves call it. We are still confined to the space of the 'underworld'- the underworld is the area the witches who survived built to hide form the wolves it was underground and had proved successful since we had not been found for centuries had grown since the great war there were over 100 witches and warlocks who lived in this bunk. The underworld was split in several different wings  the largest being the elder, warrior and elite wing. You live in the wing designated for your kind except for families they live together in the family wing until the children reach 16 then they move in to the adolescent wing. there is a workers wing where working people live and an elderly wing. The Underworld is shaped in a a giant circle made of all the wings and in the middle are the public facilities such as schools, shops and other things.since the great war we have increased in number with about 100 witches and warlocks and about 40 children but not all children survived getting their power. Yes it may seem cruel to have children even though we know they may not survive but we would not let our species die out. But the children who did not survive they did not exactly die but they went to another realm called 'aventir'. Aventir is a supernatural realm where the children continue their lives just without the rest of the world.  we know this because one child came back to tell us, a long time age before leaving again. 

i was awakened from my thoughts by a very rude calling of my name.

'Reign, Reign, REIGN! Get up, Get the F*ck up man!' In front of me i see a very pissed looking Kai, Kai was my best friend we have been friends ever since birth. But sometimes i he can get on my nerves, like now.

'Yes this better be important otherwise i will have your head on a spike' I whined to Kai.

'The elders said they were meant to meet you 1 hour ago'

'Shit whats the time?'

'4'

'shit, shit, shit' I jumped out of bed i raced to my mirror. Typical i looked like i had been dragged through a hedge. i grabbed some cream and attempted to flatten the bush on my head and i quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth before throwing on a t-shirt and jeans and racing out the door. 

'Good lucck' I heard Kai bellow with a chuckle. Idiot. 

I had been awaiting this meeting for 2 weeks, i had an outfit planned and everything but as per usual i had to screw it up on the day. So now i looked like a potato running down a corridor. 

As I approached the elders door, worry and guilt flooded me. Recently i had applied to join the Elite.  a team of witches and warlocks who were allowed to venture to the outside kingdom and gather information. I opened the door and the five elders sat in their thrones,         intimidating much. 

'Reign Aria you are late' The one in the middle spoke. He was an old man with a long wispy beard that was covered with jewellery. His voice croaked as he spoke. 

'I am so sorry, i just overslept. I was up all night doing work and I-', I rambled

'Silence child' The middle one spoke again. 'We have news for you'. The patronising tone in his voice  made me head start racing with scenarios that he could possibly make happen.

Oh Gosh. What if they want me dead or want me to start a labour job. I cant do that only criminal do the labour jobs i cant be with criminals. Im not exactly a amazing person but im not a criminal. Ok one time i stole Kai's light up ball but i gave it back and anyway i was 6 when that happened. 

'Did you hear us'The one on the far left said. She was a woman whom was wearing a large blue crown and carried a blue sceptre in her hand. Her voice was wispy but also sounded irritated. 

'No.' I relpied quieltly

'We said you have been successful in joining the elite. Your training will start tomorrow, your things have been moved from you bunk in the adolescent wing to the elite wing. You should find the Elite facilities are much better than what you are used to in the adolescent wing.' Far left said.

'Oh thank you so much! I promise I wont mess this up', I bowed before leaving.

'Oh and Reign Aria lateness will not be tolerated by the elite'

I nodded before leaving. Kai was waiting outside.

'So' he said leaning his head forward.

'I got it, I got it' I yelled jumping onto him. His face cracked into a massive grin, he picked me up and twirled me around. 

'You can live in my wing now, trust me its much better than the disgusting wing you live in.' He said in a cheerful voice. 

'ok snob' I snapped back.

'I'm just saying, it has much better facilities you wont want to leave the wing'

'You only moved out 1 year ago. I'm 18 now so i would of moved to the worker wing anyway' i said pushing him into a wall.

'Okayyyyyyyyyyyy, but you have never seen the kingdom. It's beautiful apart form the wolves crawling everywhere', he looked up as if he was dreaming. 'The markets are colourful and have the most delicious food you would ever taste and the houses are tall and have tons of rooms. They have tech that you could only dream of, flying cars and the richest can teleport. But the Castle. Oh boy, the castle is made of dreams. It is huge. Just wait.' He said returning to reality. But that was the real reason i wanted to join the Elite because of the stories he told me about the Kingdom. 

We began to walk toward the elite wing when we were stopped by the group I like to call dumb, dumb and Dumbest or the 3 D's. Dana Rose daughter of one the top warriors, Delilah Karte daughter of the school headteacher and the dumbest of them Diamond Ross who is somehow related to one of the elders. 

'Oh lookie poor Kai is being forced to walk next this dustbin' Diamond snickered. For the longest time Diamond had a crush on Kai and they dated for a while until he broke up with her and now she hates me because apparently im the reason they broke up. She was begging Kai to take her back but he wasn't.

'Go away Diamond' Kai said sternly

'Oh my poor baby, it's so sad you have to hang around with this mess' Diamond sneered

'The only mess here will be your face if you don't leave' I said turning around

'Try me you disgusting slut always clinging onto Kai' Diamond said leaning forward

I could feel my power building up inside of me. 

'Move, I wont ask again.' I almost growled at her.

'No slag' She spat back at me 'No wonder your Dad left he couldn't bear to stick around after seeing  what a mess you are'

I only saw red before throwing my hands up and throwing her into a wall. I twisted my hands in the air and her body was flung onto the fall. She tried to throw a fireball at me but a dodged it using my telekinesis i threw a table into her body. she slumped unconsciousness.

Little did i know General Charles from the elites was watching.

'YOU!' he pointed his finger at me. 'GET INTO MY OFFICE NOW!'
