The two boys did not talk for another week after that just extended nervous glances as they passed in corridors. The next time they spoke was when John spotted Sherlock sitting and reading a large leather bound book underneath a tree one brake time. John approached the younger teen and sat down next to him, Sherlock did not look up from his book. John cleared his throat nervously and Sherlock looked up. "Hello?" Sherlock said, more of a question than anything. "Hi" said john, there was then an awkward silence, "may I help you?" Sherlock asked after a few moments "errrrr.....yer, I was wondering,if....."

"If you, you know , if you wanted to go out some time with me, maybe,please."
"Like I date?"
"Yer, like a date, that is if you want.."
"Yes ok"
"Really?..... I mean yer cool, I'll meet you in the town centre at 6."

They both started giggling madly until nether could hardly breath, when the giggles had calmed down, John smiled and said "see you at 6 then"
"See you" replayed Sherlock smiling
John get up from where he was sitting and walked away trying to act cool. But inside he was buzzing with excitement.
