"Here," Levi grumbled, sliding a tea cup in front of me. The steam from the cup pillowed up into my view, obscuring Levi from me.

"What's this for?" I rose a brow, my face leaning on my palm.

He shuffled about, placing his dinner and his own tea onto the table before sitting down. He didn't respond to me and just picked up his chopsticks, digging into his rice.

"Okay then," I mumbled, looking back down into my plate of food.

Soon afterwards, Hanji, Petra, and Gunther walked over in a pack, taking their seats as well. Eren closely followed, sitting by Levi which was the only spot left for him. I watched as Levi's eyes darted at him quickly and then looked back down onto his plate. His chewing became slower as if his jaw tensed.

"Good evening, Captain Mei," Eren beamed.

I waved my hand in response, earning a nudge from Hanji who was sat next to me. I looked over at her, raising a brow. She smiled widely at me before returning back to her own plate.

Dinner consisted of idol conversation although Levi hardly spoke a word. Hanji kept going on and on about how the tooth that Levi had knocked out of Eren's mouth had already grown back.

"It's so amazing!" she mused. "You knocked it out of him, root and all, and it's already fully formed!"

Levi rolled his eyes, picking at his food, giving a small "Tch."

"What do you think about him, Mei?" Hanji squealed, reaching out for Eren's hand. "Isn't he amazing?!"

I looked up at Levi who was staring daggers at me. He grabbed his mug of tea and began sipping on it loudly, his eyes shifting down into the liquid right as our eyes met.

"Incredible," I grumbled sarcastically. What was Levi's deal? He looked pissed.

I heard Eren clear his throat and I looked over at him. He had his fist over his mouth, his cheeks turning bright red. I rolled my eyes at the way he was acting.

"I'm going to bed," Levi mumbled, grabbing his tray and leaving the table.

Hanji stared at him, raising a brow, "What's shorty's deal?" she asked me as he walked off.

I shrugged, moving a grain of rice from one side of my plate to the other. I had completely lost my appetite as soon as the others had sat down.

"I'm going, too," I sighed, grabbing my tray.

"Oh," Hanji exclaimed. "Alright, Captain."

"O-oyasumi!" Eren blurted out, waving after me.

"Oyasumi everyone," I waved behind me, walking off.

Levi's attitude was really getting to me. Sure, he was a cold person, but lately he's been particularly dickish. Him and I would constantly tease each other, calling each other names and making fun of each other...all in good fun. But for the passed few days, he would barely even look at me. Even talking to me seemed like a chore for him. Every time I spoke his name, he would wince slightly even if I wasn't scolding him. I should probably talk to him...

I walked up to his door, hesitating to knock. On the other side of the wall, I heard his breath, inhaling and exhaling rather loudly and giving out a grunt every now and again. What the hell was he doing?

I gave his door a good loud knock, "Levi?"

All noise subsided but there was no response. After a minute, I knocked again, harder this time.

"Levi. Open the door," I spoke sternly.

Another minute passed and there was still no respond.

"Fine," I sighed. "I'm coming in."
