Chapter 8

*Natsu P.O.V*

After the weakling at finished singing, I noticed that most people were starting to regret what they did to her, but I will never regret, she is a weakling and she survived my attack by luck. I noticed that the weakling noticed that most people weren't regretting what they did to her when her eyes met mine, I smirked and sent an attack at her but when the dust settled she was standing there with a sword in her hand.

*Lucy P.O.V*

I had come down from the stage when Natsu sent an attack on me, but I summoned 'Fire's Keep' and it absorbed the attack, so when the dust cleared I was standing there unaffected, and I enjoyed seeing his expression.

"What's wrong Dragneel, you upset because you can't hit me?" I asked him which only caused his expression to turn pissed, of course, he quickly realised that the sword I was holding absorbed fire so he gave up and left me alone. I made my way to the bar and ordered a stardust smoothie which had become my usual, I felt a someone behind me and it turned out to be the Thunder Legion,

"Hey guys, what can I do for you?" I asked them as I sent Fire's keep back into my inventory,

"Well, we were wondering if, next time we go on a job. If you wanted to come with us?" Evergreen asked as the three boys nodded in agreement,

"Of course I would love to, maybe not next week because I'm going on a job with Wendy and Carla" I explained and they nodded before sitting on either side of me and ordering from Mira.

"when did you get so strong, weakling?" Natsu yelled from across the guild hall, I sighed before turning and glaring at Natsu

"well, I guess you don't know me as well as you think" I responded with a smirk before I turned back to the bar and talked with my friends, the people who still believed and cared for me. This was my family, this was the place I could call home, and no matter what the people who hate me think. I will always cherish my family here. Now if I only I could figure out what my mother left me in the box I put her letters into.

I know I promised that this chapter would be long, but I got stumped, so shoutouts are up the top. The next chapter will be longer I promise you that. See you next time my little dragons/wolves.
