She sat with her legs dangling off the edge of the cliff, the waves flinging up water to kiss her feet. Below her was was the sea, and she felt calm here. Calm enough to bring her kalimba (a really pretty sounding instrument) and play for herself, just listening to the tune and the crashing waves was enough to slowly lull her to sleep. Though she never sang. She would never speak with what everyone assumed was a very beutiful voice.
"Why don't you ever sing, Anemone?" The villagers would ask the girl.
Though she would never reply, she would always keep playing her kalimba.
"Do you ever speak, Anemone?" The village chief would ask.
Though she never answered.

A silent breeze,
Never to be heard,
Could she answer with ease,
Or was this too hard?
