"are my characters good?"

Looking at an old character I just redrew, I take a long look at the finished artwork.
Not only should a character be fun to draw, but interesting as a character in general.

I named this guy Radio, due to his odd quirk that has to do with Nuclear Radiation. (Yeah, what a quirk/power for a 10-years-old character!)
Though, as I stare at my drawing, and think of his backstory, I got a slight doubt feeling.
"Is he good enough? Will people like him?"

This was a design given to me by my sister, so people SHOULD like him, "she is good at designing them after all

Though, his design must match who he is, it is only a fraction of the entire design.

Anything people say about a character sticks, weather it is hurtful, just a joke, or some sort or compliment.
The more hurtful things people say about a character the more the character's creator will feel insecure about their creations, and most likely will try to change them so that everybody loves them.. atleast, that is the case for me.

Say somebody told me that Radio's quirk made no sense and it should be something more normal.. I probably would have changed it some.. but this oc is too important to change the quirk of, since, ya' know.. reasons and stuff!

Anotyer example:
If somebody told me that Opal was too purple, you might start seeing some blue or other colors in her design, which, spoiler, THAT WOULD MAKE IT WORSE?! {Opal is pretty the way she us U^U}

Though, even if nothing is said, people will still feel jealous of other characters.. HECK, Coquin was a rip-off of Aoyama Yuuga at first, but now he's a completely original villain BNHA oc!

The hair might be pretty similar, but trust me you won't find much in the personality, alliance, backstory, and sort od character he is

The hair might be pretty similar, but trust me you won't find much in the personality, alliance, backstory, and sort od character he is. Plus, how similar is the hair really? Yeah, didn't think so.

Anyways, if you ever have doubts in your characters like I do/did, it's okay. This is fine. Everything that you are thinking only means that you just love your oc to bits and that you want what is best for them!
