A ginger breeze rolls through the meadow, carressing Liz's body. An unfamiliar scent bites at her nose and an unfamiliar feeling of near nothingness overtook her, and she realized how truly tired she was. Her eyes close for a small second. Before she knows it, she dozes off.
A vision like dream overrides her senses. She's in a pitch black room, but a sudden marvelous light makes itself apparent. Did this surprise her? Most certainly.
How about when the light started speaking?
She had never experienced such a numinous emotion.
"Elizabeth Beckett. Child. It is I. It is whom you call God. As I understand, you have been trained for a mission."
In trembling awe, she manages to squeak out a small yes.
A sound resembling a laugh escapes the orb that calls himself God, "Why are you so afraid? Fear not, for I have a message."
Liz manages to stand strait and compose herself, "Yes sir."
"Your grandfather would like to inform you that he is alive. Along with Jonathon Allen Callavicci, I will also guide you. I will mange to keep you safe as I am the one who has kept you transporting. Yes?"
"Yes." she obediently responds.
"Be still and know that I am God."
And with that, she was awake.
Out of nowhere, Jo appears, "There! I finally found you!" A relieved look is shone upon his expression followed by a puff of his Cuban cigar. "You'd been gone for hours now. Your mom has been so on edge."
The word struck her; mom. "Is mom okay? Does she miss me? Has she been-" the words get caught in her throat, "self... medicating... again?"
Jo's expression softens, "I know she misses you. I promise you I'll keep watch." another puff, "You look a bit shaken."
Her eyes don't move from the place she was staring, "He is alive. Grandfather."
"You saw him?! Where is-"
"God told me. I saw Him. Grandfather's theory is right. Project Quantum Leap is run by a higher power. And I am truly here to fix our mistaken generation."
