Jo and Liz sat on the plush grass in silence. A sharp breath cuts through the quiet, "Why am I here, Jo?"

"You're here because... uh... Well, ZIGGY doesn't know."

"What do you mean?" her quiet tone doesn't change as she pulls grass out of the dirt blade by blade.

"I mean, ZIGGY doesnt have an answer for you."

"I guess we have to figure out for our selves." she calmly states as she stands and walks into the brush of the pine trees beyond the small meadow where she had her supernatural experience. "Where am I?"

Jo frantically presses buttons on his ZIGGY mobile device."We are in Oregon. But it doesn't look like there's any civilization for-" the two stumble across a paved road and Liz gives him a cocksure smile.

"Sorry, what was that?"

"Oh, shut up." he says in defeat followed by a string of mumbled profanities as Liz laughs. A noise comes from Jo's device, "Oh! ZIGGY said that a car crash causes the death of an intoxicated teen who happens to be driving his pregnant friend." the enthusiasm from his tone had passed, "The baby also dies and the girl commits suicide as a result. Oh, God, that's awful." his voice was laced with pain.

Headlights shine in the distance and start to swerve endlessly. "Looks like we got here in time. " Liz says as she focuses on the car, "Did the driver die on impact?"

"No. It looks like he hit his head just right when he crashed and fell unconscious. The former 'mom to be' fled the scene to find help. You're just some bystander that was camping and heard the noise but did nothing. We are in the year 1999." Right then and there, the car crashed into a massive oak not even 100 yards away.

Liz felt as if she hadn't ran this hard or fast in her entire life. All she knew was that she needed to get to that car as fast as she could.

What was less than a minute in reality seemed like  ten to Liz. She felt as if she couldn't get there fast enough, but sure enough, she got there. The engine was smoking and the air bags were taking up all of the car's frontal space. Liz's first priority was the young, pregnant mother. As she assessed the situation, she realized that the mother was a small oriental girl with brightly died hair and piercings everywhere. She saw how pregnant this young girl who may have been barely even fifteen was and her heart broke inside of her chest. The drunk man in the passenger seat was most likely in his late thirties and completely unconscious.

Liz opens the crushed door of the Camry and scoops out the shaken girl and gently places her on the dirt ground, "Stay here and I'll get your friend." She orders. As she turns to leave, a hand grabs her arm.

Pain and suffering scream from her expression. She shakes her head, "No. Please, no. Let him die. Please."
