Hello everyone 😊👋
I know its been a while, I am really sorry for the super late update. Its been a really long month... finally graduated from Med School 😁😁, My sister got Married. It was an exciting month, so Alhamdulillah 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Good luck reading, hope you enjoy the Chapter 😁😁
Nabila looked up when she heard the knock on the door, she had spent almost half the morning seeing patients. And it wasn't even her duty. She had called One of her colleagues early in the morning to ask her if she could take her duty, she wanted to stay busy and to stop thinking about Muhammad or their failed marriage. It's been four days and nothing has changed. She has woken up to his message everyday since she left. She would read it every time, the temptation of replying at the tips of her fingers but at the slight remembrance of what had occurred, she will delete the message and resume her day.
"What are you doing here?" Nabila asked the person who stood by the door. He was the last person she expected to see and that too in her work place. The guts he must have to show his face after everything he did she thought. He looked so out of place, like he hadn't slept in days but that wasn't her problem she thought. It was the least that should have happened to him after what he did
"I came here to talk to you" came his reply.
"I am not interested in talking let alone seeing you. So please leave me alone Usman"
He pretended like he didn't hear her, because he sat down on the chair facing her, ignoring the look she was serving him.
"Too bad I'm already here"
She couldn't stand seeing him sitting right there, like everything was okay. She hadn't seen him in so long and in just some few days he had managed to turn her life into a living mess.
"I wanted to explain things to you"
"And what makes you think I want to hear any of your lies?"
"They are not lies, they are legit reasons and how I feel" he almost shouted, getting frustrated with her.
"You better leave before I call the security" reaching for the phone on the desk.
Her threat seemed futile because he resumed his former position, looking intently at her. Making her uncomfortable, she began to adjust her veil.
"Go ahead"
When she saw he was so adamant and stubborn, she decided to be careful with him and maybe he will decide to leave on his own. She didn't like the way he was staring at her and for once in her life, she wished Muhammad was there with her. He certainly would have protected her from Usman.
"I heard you left Zain, that's good because you can't be with him" he began, playing with a pen from her desk.
"Who I decide to be with is none of your business Usman and my relationship with Muhammad is certainly none of your business also. You've done enough damage"
"I saw you first, I wanted you first, he was just doing me a favour, he doesn't love you I tell you"
"Then you should have married me first if you really wanted me. You know what? I am so sick of hearing the same thing, so please stand up and go. You have a wife, go to her and let me be for Allah's sake" She stood up and walked further near the small window, tears threatening her eyes.
