Chapter 3
Adina and Winn settled down somewhere next to the river. It looked almost exactly as the other section did, which scared them both. If the whole forest looked like this, how will they know if they start going in circles? They tried to ignore their mutual thoughts and set up camp. They set up the tent, got a fire going, and ate dinner. They were both tired from the days journey, so they had some nice, relaxing time next to the campfire.
"My hair is greasy," Adina stated. Winn looked up at her and raised an eyebrow. "What i'd do for a shower."
"There is a lake right in front of you," Winn said, gesturing to the lake. "Their's shampoo in the backpack."
Adina looked over at the backpack and then back at the lake, contemplating whether or not that was a good idea. She really needed a shower, how could she pass this up? But, Winn would be right there- watching her. "Shut up, Adina," she said to herself. "I can't believe you would consider that."
"I'm good, thanks." She said in an annoyed tone. Winn shrugged and turned his attention back to the fire. "I think i'm ready for bed," Adina said, standing up. Winn followed her footsteps.
"We need to sleep together," Winn said once they got in the tent. "In the sleeping bag of course," He finished.
"Can't I just sleep in there? Can't you take a night out of it?" Adina asked crossing her arms.
"Well, that's very considerate, Adina. Please, don't let me bother you with my chattering tonight!" He sarcastically yelled, crossing his arms as well. "I get cold too."
"But-" Adina paused.
"No," Winn interrupted her, now upset. "That was really selfish, Adina," He said, turning around to leave the tent.
"Winn," Adina grabbed his arm. She doesn't know why he was so upset. Yeah, okay, that was a little selfish of her, but she doesn't want to try to fall asleep with him right beside her. She didn't mean to make him upset, even though he was being a little over dramatic. "I didn't mean to make you upset, it's fine if we both sleep in there. I'm sorry, I just-" she paused, "I'm sorry."
Winn unfolded his arms and looked into her eyes. She felt very violated by his intense stare. His eyes finally softened, knowing she was telling him the truth. "S'ok," He stated, looking away from her. "Let's just go to bed."
They both unrolled the sleeping bag. Adina was unzipping her jacket but stopped, surprised by the sight in front of her. "Winn.." She whined at the half naked boy.
"What?" He asked. "Come on, Adina. I'm used to sleeping in this," He said, gesturing to his undershirt and boxers. She must admit.
That boy looks very very very attractive.
"Fine," she mumbled, not wanting to argue with him any longer today. She continued to unzip her jacket, exposing her light blue tank top. She considered taking her jeans off for a few seconds, but then decided against it- with obvious reasons. They both looked at each other then looked down to the sleeping bag. "So i'm not the only one who finds this awkward." she said to herself.
Adina and Winn got down on their knees and unzipped the sleeping bag. They sat down then they both slid their legs in. Not wanting to look at each other, they both laid down and turned away. They laid there for about ten minutes when Adina felt like she needed to shift. She decided to turn onto her back, fixing her jeans when they were bothering her. A little while later it happened again, when she turned towards Winn's back. She really wanted to take her jeans off- so much, she didn't care if Winn saw her in her underwear. "I'm wearing boy shorts," she thought. "Maybe he wouldn't notice, or maybe-"
