It was late in the year, a few months before the first snow will start to fall. I was only 6 years of age when I was ripped away from my family, along with my year 2 classmates. It was field trip day. The day where we would travel all the way from our Dallas, Texas school district to San Antonio. It was suppose to be a relaxing day at the zoo, with cotton candy filled mouths and tangy lemonade. Little did we know, that September 27, will be a day to remember.
