There was a spider crawling on my arm and i stg it tried to commit spider suicide or something cause it jumped off my bed and then I lost it. Needless to say, I am sleeping with my light on from now on.

If anyone wants to volunteer to be my personal spider killer or cuddle buddy, I'm taking requests lmao

I wasn't supposed to update, I've kinda been taking a little break but I seriously can't sleep. I fckn hate spiders I stg just any insect or bug or whatever that crawls. It makes my skin itch.

.   .   .

The saying is beauty hurts. I wasn't aware that those words applied to someone else's beauty.

I was roaming the halls at school, skimming over the homecoming posters littered on the walls and windows and doors. Why was homecoming such a big deal? It's just some stupid dance. I can truthfully say that I have never went to a school dance. I don't plan on attending one, either. I am planning on skipping out on my prom as well.

I saw my friend, Jade, walking up to me. She smiled, holding her arms out and I accepted her embrace.

"How is my favourite slut?" She smiled, pulling away from me. I glared at the girl with vibrant red hair. "I dunno, why don't you look in the mirror and ask?" I bit back. She sucked in a breath, "That was a good one."

We began our walk through the school, only several minutes left of class.

"How has mission 'avoid Harry Styles' worked out for you?" She asked after a few moments of silence. "Great! I feel like a creepy stalker but all is good." I nodded enthusiastically though I felt the opposite. "Is this what crushes are supposed to feel like? So obsessive?" I asked honestly.

"Well, it isn't a crush. It's an attraction. You're attracted to a very handsome man. That little kitty of yours doesn't know how to act."

"Jade!" I slapped her arm. She laughed, "What! You've only slept with like.. Three guys? And they were not attractive at all.  George had a big head, Micah always had a weird smell to him and that other guy had weird looking fingers."

"And that is why you're single," I pointed to her. "You only date a guy for their looks."

"I do not! I look for personality as well. Something you seem to lack because all of your boyfriends were cocky douche bags."

"Hey!" I defended, pouting.

"It's okay, you just don't know what to look for in a boyfriend. But honestly, believe me when I say that Harry Styles is not going to be your knight and shining armor and you need to stop your little crush before it advances into something more than a small little infatuation."

I wish I listened sooner.

"It is not. I know how to control my feelings."

"Just be careful. I am trying to spare you from a heartbreak."

"But.. But look at him," I whined as he conveniently came into our line of vision. He was walking with a girl that I couldn't see the face of since she had her back to us. Harry reached forward to push a strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear.

"You're so cute,"  he whispered to her. I could see her giggle. "Why can't he call me cute?"

"Tell him you're a groupie and he'll pay more attention to you." She shrugged. "No, he'll think I'm weird."

"You're supposed to be the confident bad bitch who can get any guy she wants, what's so different about Harry Styles?" She tilted her head to the side in mock confusion. "He is hot. I am not as confident.." I muttered. "So you're admitting that your ex's are ugly?"

"No. Only when compared to Harry. When he's suddenly added to the equation, no other guy stands close enough chance."

Jade rolled her eyes. "Come on, let's go."

But, I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. Not even we walked out of the building when the bell rang. I saw him walk to his car and Jade and I walked behind him. How can he make walking look so good?

He looked up, turning towards my direction.

"Hey, there's-"

Jade spoke but it was to late.

The sudden shock of pain in my head didn't register for a few seconds.

Jade was in hysterics next to me, screaming like a hyena.

"Ow," I mumbled, rubbing the throbbing area. I hissed, cradling my forehead. I looked at the source of what caused my pain to see a stainless steel pole standing untouched. I glared at the pole and kicked it, as if I was harming it in any way. "Stupid pole."

"Are- You- Okay?!" Jade gasped between her laughs.

"No." I frowned, glaring at the pole one last time before starting to walk off. I took one last quick glance towards Harry to see him laughing as he opened his car door before gently shutting it.

Dread and embarrassment flooded my body.

He just saw me run into a pole.
