Chapter Two

The bell had rung right after our last hour of class. I gathered my things to myself quietly and headed out the door with the guys and Gayoon. After school, the guys decided to go to the field and play soccer. I always had to go home with Jaehyun because my parents said it'd be safer for me. Gayoon and I sat on the grass near their belongings. We chatted as they played, then suddenly Gayoon's phone rang.

"It's my mom, I'll be back." she answered her phone as she jogged over to the fence.

"Ah, this crazy punk is always playing soccer." I said shaking my head.

Gayoon came back a few minutes later.

"I have to go home right now, my parents need me. I'll see you later!" We both waved and smiled as she left.

I sat there alone on my phone until Myungsoo came over and stood in front of me.

"Ah, aren't you bored just sitting here?" he said looking down at me.

"Huh?" I looked up from my phone. "Oh, not really."

He softly laughed and took a seat next to me. "Where's Gayoon?"

"She went home. She had something to do for her parents."

"Ahh... okay." he nodded.

Myungsoo and I were close, friend wise. We always went to each other when we had problems and or if we needed help with anything.

"Jieun-ah..." Myungsoo said turning his head towards me.

I turned to him after he says my name.

"Would you ever consider dating someone close to you?"

I looked at him as if he was crazy.

"I don't know. Aish, it was already awkward enough, thanks for making it more awkward."

He laughed a bit.

"But why?" I looked at him suspiciously.

"No reason." He smiled, turned his head and looked at Jaehyun who was heading over to us.

I looked up at Jaehyun. He looked at the both of us with Joon Young next to him.

"Let's go." said Jaehyun swinging on his backpack.

The both of us got up and started our walk home together.

On our walk home...

"Hey, Jaehyun, do you-" I got cut off from my phone ringing. I looked at the screen and saw that it was my mother.

"Hello?"

"Why him?"

"Okay, I'll tell him."

"I will!"

"No- Mom seriously I wil- Ugh, fine."

I sighed and gave the phone to Jaehyun.

He looked at me in confusion and took the phone.

"Hello?"

"Ah, yes. I will."

He hands my phone back to me and shoved his hands back into his pocket continuing to walk. On our walk home, as usual, we walked near Joon Young and Myungsoo's house. After that, Jaehyun and I walked to my house.

I sighed and put my headphones in and played my music.

"What were you going to say to me earlier?" Jaehyun asked looking forward.

I sang quietly, ignoring his question.

"Jieun-ah." he looked over at me.

I still ignored him and smiled while walking.

"Jieun-ah." he said a little louder.

"mossaenggin aedeul junge..." I sang happily.

"Yah! Jieun-ah!" He stopped me and looked at me in disbelief. "You heard me didn't you?"

"Ani." I looked up at him and shook my head.

"Then tell me-"

I looked ahead at my house down the street and smiled.

"heh, just kidding, I heard you." I said as I ran.

"YAH!" He ran after me and held onto the back of my backpack. "Tell me." He said firmly and yanked on my backpack.

"AH- okay okay. I'll tell you later, why do you need to know so bad, geez." I went inside of my house.

He let go and went inside as well.

After dinner...

Knock. Knock.

"Jieun-ah, It's Jaehyun."

I muttered to myself and changed my voice. "We don't have a Jieun here."

He laughed a bit to himself and came in anyways.

"YAH! WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK? I COULD'VE BEEN CHANGING!"

He sat beside me on my bed and asked, "I'm sleeping here today. So what you said before?"

"I don't remember." I said annoyingly staring at him.

"Aish..." he said sliding his hand down my face.

"I said I forgot, geez." I glared at him before looking down.

He stared at me.

"Okay, I didn't. But, do you like someone?" I looked up and tilted my head.

"Pshhh, No. Why?" he said nervously and chuckled.

"Well, because I don't know." I shrugged and smiled.

He made a face and slid his hand down my face again. "That's it?"

"Yeah. Now get out." I pushed him off my bed, pulling the covers over myself going to sleep. "night."

"Ah- aeish..." he sat there surprised. "Well, okay. Night." He got up and left.

Jaehyun's POV

"Okay, I didn't. But, do you like someone?"

At that moment, my heart pounded and my ears turned red. I could feel it. I couldn't just say I did because she'd bother me about it.
