(Kayleighs POV)

This whole week I've been looking for him. I knew he wasn't going to be here, but maybe he decided to come home earlier. But he didn't. Of course not...

I talked to Madison about my worries and she said that I like him. But I don't know. I mean, I've never talked to him, and I've seen him once. And even if I do like him, I don't have any chance because I'm sure he doesn't like me. Why would he ignore me if he did like me? That doesn't make sense, right?

I was very much alone this week so I had plenty of time to think about stuff. Like, why did David had to go away in the same week Edward was gone? And, why does Madison think I like Edward? Or, why did Edward needed some alone-time? I also figured out that Madison might be right... I was always thinking about Edward...

At school I spent the most time with Alice and her family. I like them and I can tell that Emmett likes me too. I'm not sure about Jasper, but I know Rosalie doesn't like me. She barely talks to me.

Today's Friday and I really hope that Edward will show up. But I guess he won't. Why am I always thinking about him? Do I really like him? I don't know... maybe I just care too much about people.

"Hey Alice." I smile at her, something I hadn't done much this week.
"Hey Kayleigh! You got any plans for this weekend?"
"No, I don't, why?"
"Okay, well, now you do because you're going to sleep at my place this weekend!" Alice is so happy that I just can't say no.
"Haha, okay. I'll let Madison know.

-That afternoon at the Cullens-

"Wow! Your house is very big Alice!" I laugh, maybe that's the reason why she couldn't wait to take me to her place.
"Yeah, I know." She chuckles.
We're walking into the house where two people are waiting for us. They're both very pale just like the rest of the family. I guess they're the parents.
"Kayleigh, this is Carlisle and Esme. Carlisle, Esme, this is Kayleigh."
"Nice to meet you Kayleigh, Alice told us very much about you." Carlisle smiles at me. Esme gives me a hug and then smiles at me too.
"It's nice to meet you too." I smile at them.
"Okay, so now that you know my parents, I'm gonna show you the house!" Alice grabs my hand and takes me upstairs.
-
"This is my room!"
"Wow, it's very big!" I laugh, Alice is way too excited and it's pretty funny.

-That evening-

"Kayleigh, can I ask you something?"
"Of course!" I chuckle.
"Okay, don't get upset, but... do you... like Edward? I mean, you asked like everyday if he was okay." She chuckles and looks at me.
"Well, to be honest, I don't know... yes, I was worried because it was a little random that he left, but I don't know if I like him that way." She smiles at me.
"Yeah, I understand. But don't be afraid to tell me if you do like him. I won't tell anybody."
"I'll keep that in mind." I smile at her.

(Edwards POV)

I'm standing in front of Alices room. The door is closed, but I know she's not alone. I could smell Kayleighs scent when I walked into the house. Just as I'm about to walk away, I hear Alice asking Kayleigh a question. "Okay, don't get upset, but... do you... like Edward? I mean, you asked like everyday if he was okay." Then I hear Kayleighs voice. "Well, to be honest, I don't know... yes, I was worried because it was a little random that he left, but I don't know if I like him that way."
I can't believe Alice just asked that! I walk away because I don't want to hear the rest of their conversation. When I'm in my room, I can't stop thinking about what Kayleigh said. She had worried about me. I'm confused... how could she be worrying about me when she doesn't even know me, let alone talked to me?!

-A few minutes later-

When I'm on my way downstairs, I bump into someone. I hear a silent "Shit!" and when I look at the person who I just bumped into, I see it's Kayleigh.
"Oh my... I'm so sorry Edward! It wasn't my intention to bump into you! I'm so stu-"
I interrupted her. "Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. I wasn't looking where I was walking."
She's looking at her feet and probably blushing, because I see a little glimpse of something red on her cheeks. I take her chin between my thump and finger and make her look at me.
"Hey, don't worry, it's no big deal."
Then I notice that I can't read her thoughts. Weird... I guess that's she's feeling uncomfortable because she's blushing a deeper red than before. I chuckle.
"I like that colour on your cheeks." I let go of her chin and she's looking at her feet again, probably very shy now. It's cute how she's so shy and blushing a deep red.
Oh my... I like her!
