But instead I saw a room with a big computer and tons of cords and wires. And there were two Tvs facing the same direction as the computer. What was this place?
"We call it the Den." I heard Elliot's calming voice from behind me. I turned my head to see him standing there.
"You alright buddy."Carl asked as he patted Elliot's shoulder. He shrugged him off.
"I'm fine. Now let's tell her the plan." He said.
Carl nodded and walked over to the computer. He typed in something and then on the Tvs above a picture appeared.
"This is Ralph Samuels. He's rich as hell and did nothing to deserve it. His father died, he then inherited all of his money. Even though everyone knows Ralph killed him." Carl explained.
"My father hated his father. And I hate him. Always have always will." Elliot responded
"I don't get why you want him dead though." I stated. Elliot huffed.
"About three months ago I was robbed. He took at least a half a million. Now of course I earned the money back, but what's mine is mine." Elliot said crossly.
I saw Elliot and Carl make eye contact. Carl almost looked confused. I ignored it.
I nodded and looked up at the picture of Ralph. He was a tall man with blond hair and greenish eyes. He, like Carl wore a very nice suit. Then I looked over to Elliot, who had a smirk on his face. I saw that Carl was gone.
"What?" I asked.
"You have a nice ass."Elliot said darkly. I could see him smile. Elliot Blackburn smiled! Well I'll be damned.
"You know if anyone else had said that I would have slapped them." I hissed. His smile faded.
"Are you threatening me?"He asked slyly. He took a few steps towards me.
"I have a right to hate you, Elliot." I said as I made sure to emphasize his name. Elliot made a growling noise.
"Listen you little bitch-
"I can't leave either of you alone for one minute, can I?" I heard Carls voice from behind me. That silenced the both of us.
He had returned with a brown box. He then walked in between the both of us and set the box on the table.
"Heather, I am going to give you something. But you must only use It when it is absolutely necessary. Do you understand?"Carol explained.
I nodded. Then I saw Elliot's face turn to stone. I rolled my eyes. I didn't give a damn about his stupid rule. Carl then opened the brown box. I could see the inside was lined with red velvet. I couldn't exactly see what he pulled out at first. Then he turned around and in his hand was a gun. I looked at Carl in shock. Carl reached out and attempted to hand it over to me.
"No." Was all I managed to say.
"Heather-
"No. I can't touch that. I couldn't kill a person." I screeched.
I then took a few steps backwards. And still shook my head.
"Just take the damn gun, Heather." Elliot hissed.
Then I saw Carol give him a death glare. And Elliot's face softened a bit. It seemed whenever Elliot said something vulgar, Carl corrected him and Elliot listened. Interesting, I thought.
"Heather, do you want to live or die?" Elliot said calmly.
"Live." I whispered.
Elliot reached over and took the gun from Carl. He walked towards me. He extended the silver gun to me.
"Then take it. I promised you that no matter what you live. And I keep all promises that I make." He said.
I reached out for the silver gun. I quietly grabbed it off his hand. It was a little heavy. I had the power to kill. And I looked up at Elliot.
"I don't know how to use it." I mumbled.
"I will teach you. I will teach you how to protect your self. We will meet here every Thursday." Elliot explained.
"What we are asking of you is a lot. But we need you, Heather." Said Carol as he walked to put his hand on my shoulder.
Then I held the gun up and I pointed it too Elliot. He didn't even flinch.
"You won't be able to live with it. If I can't do it, I know you sure as hell can't." Elliot said confidently.
Then I felt Carl put his hand on the end of the gun. And he lowered it. I wanted to kill Elliot Blackburne as much as I wanted to live. But I knew after it I wouldn't be able to live.
"Now let's get started."
