[We fade back in on Dark Sam frowning down at the trio, who stare back up in shock. Sam is still caught in Valerie's net. Dark Sam lands on the street and puts her fists on her hips.]

Dark Sam: Danny and Tucker. It's been a while. Ten years, to be accurate. [Raising a hand, she sweeps it down, and Danny and Tucker are encased, motionless, in green light.] So, to what do I owe this little blast from the past? [Her eyes widen as she notices Danny's CW medallion] Clockwork. Meddling again.

[She begins to raise her arm, but a purple blast from offscreen knocks her into the street. As she stumbles up and waves the smoke away we see Valerie, blowing the smoke from a wrist-mounted weapon, a grenade in her other hand. Scowling, she gets to her feet and charges. Valerie throws a pair of grenades at her, but she transforms to a green, blobby form and they pass through her. She fires her wrist gun, but Sam is too fast and grabs her by both wrists. Meanwhile, Sam bursts from the net with a cry. Dark Sam lifts Valerie with one hand and punches her with the other, sending her bouncing off the pavement. Dark Sam follows as Valerie props herself on one hand and one elbow.]

Dark Sam: I suppose out of respect for our past, I should let you live. [She grabs her by the holsters.] But that's not how I work. [She lifts her and throws her.]

Danny: Valerie! Sam do something!

[Sam flies and catches Valerie around the middle, making them fly intangibly through a few buildings before crash-landing in the street on the other side in a tangle.]

Valerie: You're from the past, aren't you?

[Sam just looks at her, getting up.]

Sam: Yep still don't like you in my present but I don't like my future even more.

Valerie: Almost forgot how good you were back then. [she slumps back to the ground]

Sam: You thought I was good? Wow! Valerie actually thinks I'm good.

Dark Sam: You know, if I had an ounce of humanity left in me, [she walks around Danny and Tucker, still trapped in the green light] this would be a touching little reunion. [Caresses Danny cheek] and you would be forced to stay here. [Danny and Tucker exchange a nervous glance.] But of course I surrendered my human half a long time ago.

[Behind her, we see Sam rise invisibly from the street, teeth gritted and fists clenched. Dark Sam's ghost sense goes off as tendrils of red smoke coming from her nostrils.]

Dark Sam: Oh, please.

[She turns and punches an ectoblast at Sam, who returns in kind. Both are knocked down by the other's blast, and the green light trapping Tucker and Danny vanishes, dropping them to the street as well.]

Danny: Glad that is over with. I didn't like that evil older Sam caress me.

Sam: [sitting up, panicked] Tucker! Danny! Run!

[They do.]

Dark Sam: [back on her feet] Run? Where are they going to go?

[Turning, she lets out a Ghostly Wail. Sam covers her ears. Tucker and Danny stop, looking up at the Mansons Works next to them. The brick begins to crumble, the Op Center tilting from the top. Danny and Tucker cover their heads.]

Tucker: [to Danny] For the record, I blame Sam.

[Sam gets to her feet and begins to fly to them, but Dark Sam grabs her by the ankle.]

Dark Sam: Ah ah ah.

[Sam gasps as the Mansons Works falls over on top of Tucker and Danny, throwing up a cloud of dust. Sam stares in shock for a moment, then cries out as Dark Sam shocks her with energy. She reverts to human form, and Dark Sam spins and throws her toward the wreckage. Getting up on her elbows, she sees the two time medallions Tucker and Danny had been wearing lying abandoned on the ground.]
