It was the first day of Morgan and Nathanial working on their project together, and so far, nothing had gone wrong. Both of them were focused on the work and they didn't talk about anything other than the task at hand. Nathanial was playing with the sleeves of his shirt and he looked at his hands while he did, his breathing was ragged and his senses were heightened like he could hear, see and smell everything more clearly, and he didn't like it. It scared him. He covered his mouth and he stood up, Morgan giving him a confused look, but he shook his head a little before walking to the bathroom.

As Morgan sat in his room, he was wondering why Nathanial was acting so weird. They were both closer now, since the incident of Morgan helping him, but the only time they talked was when it was about the project, it was as if Nathanial was still scared. The Alpha teen didn't understand what was wrong with the Omega, but he could tell there was definitely something. The way the sixteen-year-old messed with his sleeves, and the way he smelt, it was as if he had a metallic scent to it, a blood metallic scent. Suddenly, it was as if he heard the penny drop. His eyes went wide and he stood up, quickly running to the bathroom and knocking on the door.

Nathanial was looking through the cupboards, frowning a little as he did. He knew he was being stupid, but the decision he was about to make, he didn't care, as soon as he found those razor blades, it was as if he sighed with relief. He grabbed one of them, pulling up his sleeve as quick as he could. His arms were covered in small red lines, they seemed to be bruised around them and he was pale, so they were noticeable. Along the red lines were thing white ones, where they had healed and left scars. He bit the top of his shirt tightly and he slowly cut on his wrists, cutting a little too deep when there was a panicked knock on the door.

The knock, the knock that could ruin both Morgan and Nathanial. The Omega grabbed the razor blade and rinsed it before shoving it back in the cupboard, but he also cleaned the wound and yelled in pain as he did, the cut stinging much worse due to the depth of it, the way the blade went deeper into his skin.
"Nathaniel! Get out here, I need to ask you something!" Morgan shouted as he knocked on the door harder.
"O-okay," The teen whispered as he unlocked the door and walked out. Morgan grabbed his arm and tried to pull up his sleeve, Nathanial panicking and trying to pull away. "Let go!"
"Not until you show me your arm!"
"I won't! I won't because you will get your friends to laugh!" he shouted, causing Morgan's parents to walk up the stairs, the two of them, staring at the Omega and Alpha.
"What is going on?" Morgan's mother asked and Morgan released Nathanial.
"I believe Nathanial is self-harming," Morgan spoke calmly and Nathanial glared at him.
"So what if I do? It's your friend's fault because of all the shit they do!" He shouted before walking past him, grabbing his back from the bedroom and walking off, Morgan trying to catch up.

Nathanial stormed out of Morgan's home, tears sliding down his cheek as he did, he wanted t9 get away as fast as he could and not let the other catch up to him. Morgan could see and feel the others panic and grabbed his arm, pulling him back and glaring slightly as he did. The Omega stood frozen, tears sliding down his cheek as his lip trembled. He closed his eyes tightly and turned his head away s9 he wouldn't look at him. The Alpha froze when he felt the others fear, and his grip loosened, he knew he had hurt the boy, he knew what he had gone through, and he was never there.

They are both stood in silence, the two of them just standing there. Nathanial finally shoved the Alpha and ran off, Morgan just sitting on the floor, not even attempting to go after the boy again, he didn't want to risk his trust, but also didn't want to risk the fact of loosing him. Morgan soon stood up and he brushed himself off as he let out a sigh, walking to the cafe, remembering Nathanial saying something about doing a shift there, so he knew that the sixteen-year-old would be going there straight away.

When Morgan entered the cafe, he covered his nose when all he could smell was blood. Then it was that one thing, that thing he didn't want to hear, a scream. He didn't care that the scream came from the changing area and he ran in, his eyes widening when he saw a passed out Nathanial, his arms covered in blood and one of baristas standing there with fear in her eyes, like she couldn't talk or move. Morgan quickly grabbed his phone, calling his dad and mom, knowing they had some experience, especially with his mom being a nurse at the police station.

The Alpha grabbed some dish cloths and an apron and he wrapped them around the bloodied arms and checked for a pulse, sighing with relief when he felt one. He heard a small whimper and groan and knew immediately that it was coming from the fragile male below him. He rubbed his head and whispered small calming things, trying to make sure that he wasn't panicking or crying anymore. He picked the Omega up and he held him close to his chest, letting out a calm Pheromone, knowing immediately after he saw Nathanial in this mess, he knew that he had to be there for him, like he was needed. He held him as tight as he could without injuring the boy, letting small tears escape his own eyes as he leaned down, kissing the Omegas lips, not realising his parents standing behind him, the two most known homophobic people in the town.
