Archer was so ready for his sixth year; he would be turning seventeen, making him of age, and learning how to apparate. The amount of freedom that was only a few month away excited him. By the end of the school year he would be able to go where ever he wanted, whenever he wanted because in the Wizard's World, Archer would be an adult.
The train ride to Hogwart's was long and conversation filled, as usual, after Archer was joined in his compartment by his best friend and roommate Ravi Gill. The two boys had been friends since second year -- during their first year they fought every waking moment until the two bonded over their love for rule breaking.
They filled their pockets with sweets and caught up with each other's summers of shenanigans.
"So Arch, any new boyfriends?" Ravi rose an eyebrow has he held a liquorish twist to his teeth. "Future prince charmings?"
Since coming out two Ravi during their fifth year, after intense interrogation as to why Archer no so much even looked twice at a girl, Archer was constantly teased by the people who knew he was gay. It was friendly teasing, however he new it was never going to stop.
"One of my friends from home tried pairing me up with a boy she goes to school with. But he was boring," Archer shrugged. "Most of the boys in Bristol are unintelligent losers."
"Are any of the boys here better?"

Eventually they arrived at Hogwarts and eventually the feast had come and gone. There were fewer first years than there had been in tye previous year and for the first time in a decade there was a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.
"It's still shocking," Ravi told Archer as they followed behind other students to the Gryffindor common room. "You know, what happened to Quirrel."
"But I guess that's what happens when you've got You-Know-Who sticking out of the back of your head," Archer responded. " You get obliterated by a first year."
They entered the through the portrait of the Fat Lady and ran upstairs to their dormitory, their home away from home. One the door on curly gold letters their names were printed: Archer Beckett, Ravi Gill, Percival Weasley, Oliver Wood.
Inside, Oliver Wood was already unpacking his trunk into the bureau he had claimed his. Percy Weasley was nowhere in sight.
As Archer and Ravi entered, Oliver looked up and grinned. "Archie, Ravi," he stood up and greeted them each with a hug. The three were good friends after all, even though Oliver spent the majority of his time on the Quidditch pitch.
"Have a good holiday?" Archer asked asked as he walked towards his bed, the one closest to the door.
"It was alright," Oliver shrugged. "I mainly focused on practicing for Quidditch. In fact I've got a great plan on how Gryffindor can win the Quidditch cup. We've just got to home that Slytherin doesnt have any dirty tricks under their sleeves."
Ravi laughed. "They probably do."
The three boys finished unpacking and made themselves comfortable. They continued to chat about their holidays and Oliver cracked a couple of jokes about Archer's sexuality, earning a pillow to the face.
Then, soon after, the door opened.
While the rest of the boys had changed into their pajamas, Percy Weasley stood still clad in his Gryffindor robes and his red a gold prefects badge gleaming on his chest.
Percy Weasley was a unique character in Archer's eyes. He was intelligent and handsome, and overall a slight narcissist. After being named prefect their previous year, he should no mercy when in came to taking house points away from Archer when he was caught sneaking out in the middle of the night or when he caught Ravi with a joint at two in the morning in the bathroom.
"Percy," Oliver nodded in greeting. Ravi didn't acknowledge him, and Archer gave him a slight smile.
Percy had gotten much taller and slightly wider. The holiday had covered him in freckles and he looked much less pale due to the amount of sun he had gotten. Archer suddenly thought he looked very attractive.
Truth be told, Archer had always thought Percy Weasley was an intersting lad. There as always something new to learn about him and Archer never failed to be disappointed when they exchanged a few words.
Percy gave Archer a slight nod before grabbing clothes from his trunk and disappearing into the bathroom.
