A Snowy walk to town

Ink's P.O.V.~~

After the whole thing with Sans, and Papyrus, We decided to start on the path to Snowdin. As we walked, we chatted. Mostly we talked about what we thought of this AU. Sans, and Toriel seemed to keep popping up. We also tried to think of what AU this could be.    

"It could be some sort of LittleTale?" Dream suggested "Ya know, because so far, the main monsters are all kids, so far." "I don't think so, LittleTale Sans was much smaller, and he didn't wear goggles." I pointed out. "That's true." Blue agreed. "Maybe it's... Umm... Ya I got nothing." I sighed, shaking my head. "Well then let's not worry about it. We can figure it out when this is all over." Blue said. "Ya, that's probably best." Dream said, smiling at Blue.

We walked for a while, once in awhile getting stopped by a monster or two. Then suddenly, we found a staircase that went down to a little space of just snow. There we found Sans again. He was sitting on a rock, reading a book.

    "Hey Sans!" I called, walking towards him. He looked up, "Oh hey you three! How's it going?" He asked. "Good! But, hold on, I thought You and Papyrus had to go meet your dad?" Dream questioned. "Ah, we did, but my Dad just said he was off work for the rest of the day, So I don't have to babysit Paps today. So I figured I'd go walking around." He explained. "Oh, but you aren't walking, you were reading!" Blue pointed out. Sans blushed a bit. "I-Uh... I just got a bit distracted, that's all"  Just to mess with him, I said, "With a book? Did you just find it laying around?" "O-oh hush! It's an interesting book, Ok!" He covered his Cyan tinted face in embarrassment. I laugh at his actions. He picked up a snowball and tossed it at me.

    "Hey!" I yelped. Sans smirked. "You were really asking for it!" "He's got a point, Ink!" Dream said laughing. I stuck my tongue out. We all ended up laughing.

    After we calmed down, Sans stood up, and grabbed a bag near him. "Oh yeah! When me and Paps went back to the house, I thought about how your wear a short sleeve jacket, and figured I'd grab you a long sleeve shirt you can put underneath." He said, rustling through his backpack, until he pulled out a white long sleeve shirt.  "When we met, I noticed that what your wearing, Dream, is not all that appropriate for this weather, so I grabbed a long sleeve shirt to give to ya. Here, ya go!" He said handing it to Dream. "Oh, thanks, Sans! That's so sweet of you!" Dream thanked him, taking the white shirt. "Heh, no problem." "I'm going to go... change behind a tree." Dream said, shuffling. He walked behind the few trees that were in this little spot. "He came back in a couple of minutes, with the shirt under his other. Dream grinned at us. "That's warmer, thanks again sans!" Dream said. "Heh, no problem!"

We started walking back up to the path, and Sans asked if we had met Toriel and Ms. Victoria when in the ruins. "Ya, we did, their really nice."Blue said, though he seemed pretty sad about it. "Toriel brought up a skeleton around her age, was she talking about you?" I asked. "Eh? Probably. I don't go to school like most kids in Snowdin Town, so I usually walk around in the forest. One day, I found the door to the ruins, open. Since I had never been inside the Ruins before, I got curious." He said, shrugging. "Wait, you've never been in the ruins before? But Toriel told us that the Ruins were there, even before the monsters were trapped down here?" Dream cut in, confused.

"Well, yes, but Dr.G created me and Paps after monsters were trapped down here." "You mean before you two were born?" I asked, his answer confusing me a bit. How can someone be 'created.' "Oh... Um, no, I mean created." We looked at him like he was crazy. "Long story." He said, shaking his head. "Anyway, I got a bit curious, and snuck in. Then I met Tori, and her mom. I hung out with Toriel for most of that day, but I had to go pick up Paps, but I had promised to come back to the door, at least, and talk to her. "He explained. "Well that's sweet of you!"  Blue said. Sans blushed a little, and shrugged. Then something sparked in my mind. "Hey Sans." "Yea?" He looked over at me. "Um... Just a question, but, um... is there any monsters that we should avoid. Specifically?" I asked, my mind thinking of Undyne, and the rest of the Royal Guard. "Huh, um, ya, kinda." He said, looking at me for a moment, then looked straight across the path. "The Royal Guard, which is a group of strong monsters, always ready to protect the innocent, keep everyone in line, and..." He stopped, then laughed at himself. "What's so funny?" Dream asked, looking at him. He shook his head. "Huh, oh, nothing. It's the exact opposite, actually." "Which is?" I asked. "Um... They will try at anything to kill humans, and bring the souls to the king, so we can be free." He says, his voice not wavering.

We freeze. "Well then, um." Dream started, swallowing. "Is there a way to spot them, out of a crowd?" "Ya, at least when their on shift, the Royal Guard members wear their silver armor. While the Captain of the Royal Guard has a picture of a soul on his chest plate." Sans explained. Then he jumped a little. "Oh! You should probably look out for a friend of mine, who's the Captain of the Royal Guards daughter, Undyne. She really wants to be the Captain of the Royal Guard when she's older, so she will do anything to prove to her dad she can." "Prove?" Blue asked. "Ya, in her family, Undyne is known as the most timid, and weak. When in reality, she's just a lot nicer. Well, compared to her family." He shrugged. "Oh, really?" I asked. This kinda surprised me. "Mhm, she will fight who ever, just to prove she isn't weak. Which is why she 'forces' me to spare almost every day with her." He said, laughing a bit. "Forces? You mean you don't like it?" Dream asked. "Heh, well, sometimes I'm to tired, since Dr. G sometimes keeps me up with... Experiments. But she'll make me spare anyways. Other than those days though, I don't mind, Since Dr. G suggested I should practice my magic, since its so, random?" He said, looking a bit unsure when describing his magic. "Yea... Will go with that. Anyway! You will need to look out for her as well." He said, giving us a quick grin.

We talked a bit more, until we got to the beginning of snowdin town. It was calm, with little monsters walking around. Sans looked around, the said, "You should be fine when walking around here. Not many monsters in town will really 'attack' you." "Really? But aren't we, as humans, kinda the reason-" Dream started, but Sans cut him off. "For us monsters to be trapped here in the first place? Ya, but most monsters here haven't seen a human before. And usually those who have, have only met the kinder ones that had fallen down, or will go tell the Royal Guard, instead of attacking you. So I'm pretty sure you'll be fine." He said, giving us a reassuring smile. "Besides, if anyone does give you any trouble, I'll help you out! If you need it, of course." I feel Blue relax a bit next to me, while Dream laughs a bit. "Thanks, Sans."

We walked till we got to a small tree, covered in decorations. That when we heard someone yell out. "Comic Sans MS!" We all jump, and turn to see a tall (as fuck XD JK sowy) skeleton, with a white lab coat on. When Sans say him, his eye lights disappeared, out of fear I'm guessing, and mumbled quietly, "Oh I'm so ticken dead."

What is this?!? A horrible, yet actual, update?!? Why yes it is! And once again, I've left you all on the worst cliffhanger! MWAHAHAHAHAHA *Cringing/coughing/horrible death noises*Ahem! Um. Sorry XD But really guys, sorry for not posting quicker, but High School is being a huge pain! Sometimes I get less than an hour to just chill. Not only school, but I've been working on a huge animation (Or at least huge for me Q~Q) for my YouTube channel, so that's taking up time as well. I'm not sure how fast I'll get the next part out, but I'll try and be faster. Just, no promises. Anyway! I hope you all liked the chapter! Have any suggestions? Don't be afraid to tell me!
