Chapter...7!!!

Lucas P.O.V. 

I yelped and ducked as Joe threw a punch at me. In my head I was screeching for help, any kind of help, and I cried out in pain as I got hit and pushed against a bathroom wall, "P-Please--p--please s-stop--" I whimpered, cursing my stupid stutter. Joe shook his hand, "God damn. You seriously have a hard head." He muttered before glaring down at me as I slid down against the wall covering my face. "Is he crazy or something? Why is he wearing that shirt in such hot weather?" Muttered one of the kids behind Joe, who shrugged, "Who knows. Maybe we should help him out with that." And before I knew what was happening, I was being pulled up and my shirt was being tugged off, "W-wait!! Sto-stop it!!" I cried struggling. My inner PSI abilities were crying to be let out. Defend yourself! Escape! It said. I couldn't though...then everyone would know and-- my hero came in a red and blue blur knocking the perverted bullies away from me, "Oh wow. I bet you feel so strong messing with Lucas, of all people." Ness hissed clutching his famous bat tightly. I blinked trying to see through my blurry tears...he did come and save me...Joe was the first to get up looking..shocked, "Neeeess! Hey there buddy! We weren't messing with your friend Lucas there, I swear." . Ness didn't look pleased, "Get out. Bother him again and I won't hesitate to beat your faces in." He hissed. Joe and his fellow bullies nodded quickly scampering out of the bathroom. I mean...wouldn't you be afraid to? Going face to face with the head of the baseball team, but also a PSI child was terrifying to me. "N-Ness...I--" I started to speak but Ness cut me off, "Are you okay? They didn't hurt you at all right?" His face softened into a gentle gaze as he gently rubbed a bruise on my face. Where I'd been hit. I winced, and nodded, "I-i'm fine...how did you...w-what happened? They-they said--". Again I was cut off and I felt a headache coming on from Ness' annoyance..or anger..or both, "Palua. Happened. Doesn't matter though." He lightly pulled me towards him into a hug, "I'm so, so sorry I didn't get here fast enough." He murmured smoothing my hair. I leaned into his warmth carefully wrapping my arms around his back, "N-no..it's fine...I-I'll be fine..." I murmured. Ness sighed, as if relieved and I heard him mutter something about never wanting to leave my side again, which made me feel all tingly and happy. The pain that I'd felt was gone. Like magic. "NOW. We've wasted enough time. Let's get you to the nurse." Ness pulled me along looking left and right, before heading to the nurses office. It was only after I had been seated, asked questions, and given the orders to go home that I realized Ness had kissed me on the forehead. That's why the pain had vanished so quickly...but when I looked around the nurse's office, Ness was gone...

I now sat quietly in my room. Dad had been knocked out on the couch, so I was lucky there. It still sucked though, knowing he'd probably yell at me later. Turning onto my side so I was facing the wall, I looked at the pictures hanging. I sat up grabbing one of the pictures off the wall. It was of me and Claus...I still miss him to this day. I'm sure dad does to. Hanging the picture I hopped off my bed and over to the window opening it and almost screamed when I saw Ness staring at me from his window, "Geez Lucas. About time you got up." He rolled his eyes and scoffed in a joking way. I huffed, "Well excuuuuse me princess. I'm sorry I was busy being tired.". Ness laughed and climbed out his window to get into mine falling onto the floor. "Man down.." Ness said muffled by the carpet. I gasped sitting back on my bed, "Oh noo! What will I ever do?". Ness looked up with a mischievous glimmer in his eyes, "Kiss me. That'll save eeeveryone!!". I felt my face heat up and covered it. AaaaaAAugH!! Why was hE lIke thIs?! Wait--does that mean he likes me? Does he really?! I peeked through my fingers when I heard Ness sigh, "Hey. Lucas, so are you gonna leave me here to drown...ooor?". I stuttered, "W-w-we-well I-I-I-I uhm--I-err..." OH MY GOD HE WAS SERIOUS ABOUT THIS. AhHHHHHHHhH!!! Slowly, I stood pretty sure my legs wouldn't hold me up, but they did and I stumbled over to Ness, who grinned up at me, "Is this it? Am I finally being rescued?" He asked his eyes shining.

Lucas thought about it, his mind a storm. Did Ness really want this...did he want to kiss Lucas? Was he just joking? Would he hate him if he actually did this? Ness squinted at Lucas, "I could never hate you." He had read Lucas' thoughts, and sat up pulling Lucas down so he was sitting, "Lucas. Do you want to kiss me?" Ness had realized something today. After seeing those bullies get to close to Lucas made him want to be closer to his friend. .well..I guess you could say he wanted to be MORE then friends.

Lucas slowly nodded, as a yes. He himself was to nervous. After reading all the thoughts Ness was having...the cute ones..the dirty ones..he'd just wished he could--Ness pushed his lips into Lucas' making the blonde let out a muffled 'Hey!!', But Lucas responded to the kiss quickly melting into it. The fireworks...the sparks...the knots in his stomach felt like they were going to explode. Lucas was the first to lean back blinking rapidly. Ness tilted his head, "I didn't think it was possible for you to get this red." This made Lucas giggle, shoving Ness back lightly, "S-shut up.." He stuttered covering his face. Ness gently moved the hands away from Lucas' face, "Hey. I love you Lucas." . 

"I...I love you too, Ness.." .
