It had been a few days since Alex and Ash had talked about the diary. And in those past few days, Ash had a lot of time to think. She knew she liked the girl. The girl that was always there for her. The girl that always made her feel feelings that shes never imagined. Yeah, Ash definitely liked this girl with the ocean blue eyes.

Ash looked up from her half-finished book as she heard the forest green oak door swing open to her cabin quietly. From there she met her emerald green eyes to her blue-eyed lover. An awkward silence filled the air until Alex spoke up with a soft hey and the thud of the door closing following the words. "So, how ya doin?" Alex questioned as she plopped down on her bed with a small thud. "I'm better," Ash responded with her gaze back onto the book. "Sooooooo, the 4th of July is coming up," Alex commented breaking the 3-second silence. "mhm" "And I was wondering if you're staying or not because the counselors said we can go back home for the holidays", Alex said in one breath. "Ha, I'm staying. It's not like my family wants me back home anyways", Ash replied in a half joking, half serious way. "Okay..." Alex returned while darting her azure eyes around the room as she tried to not think about the last time they talked about family.  "You okay?" Ash questioned. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine," Alex answered not trying to make eye contact. But she instead made eye contact with the shimmering green eyes she'd loved since the beginning. Ash stared into the cobalt blue eyes, knowing that Alex was lying. "okay" Ash replied breaking the silence the had come between them. Alex stood up and started to walk away until she froze in her tracks almost falling over when she heard one of the most beautiful voices ever. "Lady, running down to the riptide, taken away to the dark side..." Alex turned around with a confused but sumg face, directing her eyes back to Ash.  Alex walked over, arms crossed while smirking and commented: "I didn't know you sing?" "Oh, uh yeah I do. Heh, I'm not that good at it though," Alex responded nervously as she moved one side of her coffee-colored hair, off of her shrugging shoulders. "Yes,  you are. Don't lie to me," Alex said with a smug look. "I'm not lying," Ash protested. " Fine then. Sing for me and I'll record you." "No," Ash disagreed. "Pleassssssssssssse," Alex wined like a child give Ash a "puppy dog" eyes. Staring at the blue eyes staring into her caged heart, as it broke another bar, Ash gave in. "Fine," she groaned. "Yay!" Alex exclaimed excitedly as she sat down on the bed. A few seconds later, Ash sat up and Alex took her phone from the table to record Ash. "What should I sing?" Ash asked looking a bit annoyed. "I don't know. Maybe like a love song or something," Alex said shrugging. "Okay," Ash responded, straightening up more. Giving ash a thumbs up to go, Alex held the phone at a 180-degree angle, secretly videotaping Ash.

"Fly me to the moon

Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like on
Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby, kiss me

Fill my heart with song and let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you

Fill my heart with song

Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for, all I worship and adore
In other words, please be true

In other words
In other words
I love you,"

Ash sang as her beautiful voice rang through the cabin.

Alex stopped the video with a shocked and impressed look on her face. "HONEY! HONEY!" Alex practically yelled, emphasizing the 'ney' so that it sounded as though she was saying "hon-knee". "THAT_THAT WAS NOT GOOD...IT WAS FRICKEN BEAUTIFUL!" Alex shouted jerking her head up and down. "Heh thanks," Ash smiled looking away with a bright pink blush spread across her nose and cheeks. "of course," Alex smiled back now calm. After a few seconds of silence, a sound from the outside of the door broke the silence between them. "Hey it's Kaya," said a voice through the door. The onyx haired girl turned around, then turned back around to the green-eyed girl who was now reading. "I gotta go," Alex said getting up. Ash kept looking down at her book, expecting the hear the door close, but instead she felt a small peck on her cheek. A blush ran through her face as she looked up to see Alex looking back at Ash with half of her body already behind the door. "Bye," Alex said smirking, giving the now blushing Ash one last glace before the door closed. Ash sat there, confused, still trying to register what had just happened. "OH.MY.FRICKING.GOD. Did-did Alex just kiss me on the cheek? Ash questioned herself. "No, no. This must be a dream," Ash thought as she pinched the skin on her shaking hands. She felt a small prick on the back side of her hand. "Nope not a dream," Ash assured herself as she rubbed the spot where she pinched herself. Ash fell backward, staring up at the wooden ceiling, slowing coming back to reality. "I can't believe Alex actually did that," said a smiling Ash to herself. As 15 minutes went by, Ash just stared at the ceiling, the faint pink blush on her face becoming brighter every minute and her heart sparked with joy, then soon fell asleep with a small smile on her face.

Alex shut the door behind her, turning her head to the smiling girl waiting for her. "Did you get it?" The girl questioned in a low voice. "Yeah I got it," Alex responded quietly as she pulled her phone out of her pocket.
