You can't say you've love the person if you can't feel the pain caused by him. Love must be felt and so pain too.

He felt sorry for what he did to you. He promise not to let you go again. He want to ask you to give him another chance to prove to you that he will love you more than before.
Yes, you've moved on but you can't hide the fact that there still a percentage of your heart that you still love him. You have that feeling you want to give him a chance, that you want to trust him again despite what happened before.
Yes, you still want to try to work again between you. There is still the chance that you want to love him because he is trying to prove to you why you have to give him another chance.
It's easy to fall in love again by the same person because you did it in the first place, but it's hard to bring back the trust that have been broken. You want to try to love him again because he want to show you how sorry he was to hurt you. But there will always be doubts you'll feel because you're afraid to get hurt again.
They say that relationship won't work if you don't trust each other. Love isn't enough to work any relationship. Doubts, Fear, Lack of Trust are the things that will caused of problems in a relationship.
