I finished up my tea before putting on my shoes and leaving the house. Today was recovery day, where the guys would mostly be recovering after yesterday's match. Some of the guys got some heavy blows and needed some real recovery time but thankfully it wasn't anything too serious. I knew Mauricio was already at work and I was already late so I had to skip my iced coffee just to try to make it there at a decent time. After arriving I quickly got dressed and went straight to helping Steve with that wash. After we put in the first load he told me I could go eat breakfast. I got a fruit salad since I wasn't too hungry and as I was getting a cup of coffee someone came from behind me. "Hello" i heard Dele say "Hey, How are you?" I asked "I'm okay, how are you?" He asked in a more serious tone. I was guessing he was referring to yesterday when we saw my dad. "I'm okay" I said "Amelia are you sure?" He asked "Yes Bamidele I am sure" I said "Why do you call me that?" He asked "Bamidele? Because it's a beautiful name but I will stop if you don't want me to call you that" I said "No I like it, it's just most people find it easier to call me dele" "Well I'm not most people" I said "You sure aren't" he said as we walked over to the table. "Hello Mrs.Winks" Harry said as I sat in between him and Son "Why do I have to take your last name?" I asked "Because Harry black doesn't sound good" he said "How about hyphenate?" I asked "Black-Winks or Winks-Black either way both sound terrible" he said "I think that's just another sign that we're not meant to be" I said "I think this is that 20th time we've witnessed you get rejected, give up" Kane said "Nah she's my babes" Harry joked "And he's my Zaddy" I joked back and I could see deles facial expression shift. Winks must of also noticed since he started rambling "But like complete platonic, nothing ever going to happen between us and nothing has ever happened between us, and if we're being honest here she's not my type at all. We'd just never work out, she's too-" I cut him off by saying "I got it you don't need to go on and I think they got that it's platonic" I said "Amelia getting rejected that's a new one" Eric said which made everyone laugh "Oh how the tables have turned" Christian said I just laughed and rolled my eyes at them. We continue talking over breakfast and as the guys left me and Dele stayed behind a bit. "Is everything okay?" I asked "Yea why wouldn't it be?" He asked "I don't know you've just been really quiet all morning and you didn't seem to enjoy it that much when me and winks were well..being me and winks" I said "I didn't sleep well and I'm just tired, I guess I was just annoyed at how you and Winks were acting and I know I don't have any right to be annoyed about it because it's not like I own you or we're dating or an-" I cut his rambling off by kissing him And as soon as I pulled away I looked around and it was just me and Dele. I was glad nobody had seen that. "What was that for?" He asked with a smile "You were rambling and because I like you Bamidele, not Winks, you" I said to him "I like you too" he said while a big smile "We should get going before anyone comes to look for us" I said "Yea" "So how did your talk with your dad go?" Dele awkwardly asked "I guess it was okay? He invited me and James over for dinner and I'm not sure if I should go or not, I haven't to James, my mum or Mauricio" I said "Do you want to?" He asked "I'm not sure" I said "Maybe talk to James and maybe you could decide together" he said "Yea, could we talk about this later?" I asked "Yea sure" "You should go and start on your recovery plan because you have a match in 2 days" I said as pushed him towards the massage room. He just laughed and jogged off to the massage room. December was always a hectic month for most teams, you have the champions league, normal league matches and all the domestic cup matches. So sometimes you'd have 3 matches in a week it meant that it was really hectic. I walked over to Mauricio's office where he was looking over some documents. "Can I come in?" I asked sticking my head trough the door "Yes" He said waving me in "So I've been thinking" I said "About?" "I'd like continue working here until the end of the season" I said "That's great news, what make you change you mind?" He asked "The guys I guess they've just been so nice to me" I said "Well it doesn't matter why I'm just extremely happy" he said with the biggest smile I've ever seen "There's something else I need to tell you" I said "What is it?" "I saw my dad yesterday and we talk" "How did that go?" "He invited me and James over for dinner, I know James will say no and I don't know what to do about it" I said "I think you should ask James see what he thinks and if he says no and you still want to go then I think you should go, take Zoe with you I'm sure she wouldn't mind" he said "Yea, I'm just scared and nervous" I said "If you don't want to be there anymore you can just leave at any time you could get up and leave" he said "I know that, thank you for the talk" I said "Anytime, If you need anything my door is always open" he said "Thank you" I said before I got up to leave. I knew where I was going and I knew what I was going to do. I walked into the massage room and a bunch of guys were laying on the beds some getting massages and some just laying there. Thankfully Dele was not getting a massage he was just laying down as he was on his phone. I walked up to him and as soon as he saw me a smile came to his face. "What are doing here?" He asked confused "I was wondering if you'd like to come to dinner with me on Friday?" I asked as I put my hands down on his chest. "I feel like there's a catch to this" he joked as he put his hand on my back. "It's the dinner my dad invited me to" I said "Do you think that would be a good idea, that he'd want me there?" "He said I could bring you along" I said "Are sure?" "Yes but if you don't want to follow that's completely understandable" I said to him "No id like to follow you" he said "Thank you" I said as I started smiling "You two look really cozy over there" Harry Kane yelled from the other side of the room turning the focus on me and Dele. I quickly removed my hands from him and he did the same. "I'll see you later" I whispered to him before turning around to leave "What were you two talking about?" Moussa Dembele asked with a smirk I just shook my head before leaving the room, I knew they'd be asking Dele I was just hoping he wouldn't say anything. - I was picking James up from school today and he seemed so tired, school could do that to you. "How are you?" I asked after he got into the car "Dead" He said "No seriously tho?" "I'm so fucking tired" he said "Aren't you gonna ask me how I'm doing?" "Fine how are you?" He asked annoyed "I'm fine thanks, you'd never believe who I ran into yesterday" I said "Who? Some arsenal player?" He asked "No the man who contributed to us being alive" I said "Dad?" He asked "Yes" "What did he say?" "He invited us over for dinner on Friday" I said to him "Hell fucking no, are you crazy I'm not seeing that man" he said "That's what I thought you would say" "What don't tell me you're going are you on crack?" He yelled "No I just want to hear what he has to say" I said "You know he's gonna bullshit his way out of it so why waste your time?" He asked "You don't have to go if I want to go let me and don't judge my decision and I won't judge yours" I said "Fine mural respect" he said "Fine" "Are you going alone?" He asked "No Dele is coming with me" I said "Dele?, So how is that going?" James asked "It's going okay? He's really nice, he was kinda jealous about me and winks" I said "Does he have a reason to be jealous about you and winks?" He asked "No of course not" "Okay cuz you know you calling him "Zaddy" doesn't make you guys seem less like a couple, if you know what I mean?" He said "Yea but me and winks are me and winks it's never serious" I said "Yea but everyone else doesn't know that" he said "Yea I guess we should dial down a bit" I said "So tell me about you and Dele, he just got out of a relationship how are you making it work?" He asked "Okay it's literally been one date so chill, but I did sleep over at his house the night before the match" I said "Oh my god you slut you had sex with him" he said "No, it had gotten late and it was dark the roads are slippery, I was suppose to sleep in a guest room and then I got scared so I joined him in his room and I wasn't suppose to fall asleep but I did and nothing happened" I said "I find that hard to believe" he said and I just rolled my eyes at him "Do you like him?" "I do, I hope it works out" I said "Like imagine the north London derby, you and Dele are in a serious relationship who you supporting your team since you were a baby or you mans?" He asked "That's hard question but I think we both know that answer to it, but things might change so thanks a question we'll save for later" I said "Okay" he said "If you told me a year ago that I'd be with a spurs player I would of laughed in your face" I said "Life is so crazy if you think about it, I don't think that 6 years ago we'd ever imagine you dating Dele and us having Mauricio as our stepfather, or the life we're living in general" he said "That is true, I could never imagine this I'm so grateful" I said "Yea me too" he said "How did we get to this?" I asked laughing a bit and James just shook his head while laughing. "How was school then?" I asked changing the subject "School is school boring as fuck" he said "Love to hear that you enjoy getting an education" I joked "You know what I mean it's tiering" he said "Yes I understand what you mean" I said - 17:32 After arriving home I got the weirdest text form Zoe it said to over to her apartment at 6pm and to dress good. I wasn't sure why, but I put on a black dress and straightened my hair. I touched up my makeup before going downstairs to get ready to leave. "Where you going?" My mum asked me as I was putting on my shoes "I'm hanging out with Zoe" I said "You got all dressed up to hang out with Zoe? Or are you meeting up with a someone else?" She asked "I'm literally going over to Zoe's mum and she told me to dress up I think we might be getting dinner" I said as I put my coat on. "Okay but if there was someone you'd tell me, right?" She said "We'll talk about it when I get home I'm running late" I said "So there is someone?" "By mother" I said as I gave her a quick hug "Bye" she said as I practically ran out of the door. I was exited to spend the night with Zoe it's been a while since me and her had properly hung out. After the drive to Zoe's I went up to her apartment to find her and Eric, none of them were dressed up. "What is going on?" I asked confused "I thought it was gonna be you and me Zo, no offence Eric" "None taken" "What's going on?" I asked again "am I gonna be third wheeling?" "No" Eric said "So you're leaving?" I asked. There was a knock on the door and I was so confused. "We're leaving" Zoe said as Eric got up to open the door "What is going on??" I asked getting frustrated "You have a date" Zoe said as she got off of the couch "A date?" I asked "With Dele" Eric yelled as he opened the door "I'm so confused can someone explain what's going on?" I asked "I'm confused too" Dele said as he walked in to Zoe's living room "Well we know you two obviously want to go on dates and get to know each, but you guys obviously don't want go out in public and we know you had a date at deles and like we want it to feel like your at actual restaurant where you don't have to prepare everything yourself" Zoe said and she continued rambling "What's she's trying to get at us we've set up your second date" Eric said cutting Zoe off "Yes so follow us" she said as she walked off. Me and Dele held hands and walked behind Eric and Zoe. They lead us to Zoe's dinning room, where they had set the table and there were candles, food,wine and it was just so beautiful. "You did this?" I asked Zoe "Well I did get help from this one" she said referring to Eric I just gave her a big hug and she hugged me back tightly. "Thank you" I whispered to her "Anytime love" she whispered back "Okay so we'll leave you two to it" Eric said "Bye, have fun" Zoe said before her and Eric walked off "Did you know about any of this?" I asked as I walked up to Dele "No I had no idea, I did tell Eric I wanted to take you out on a proper date, but I didn't know he'd do any of this" he said as he wrapped his hands around my waist. "I'm happy they did this, I like spending time with you" I said as I wrapped my arms around the back of his neck "I like spending time with you too" he said back to me I could see him looking down to my lips and leaning in for a kiss, I just closed my eyes and put lips collided. I stood on my toes as I pulled Dele closer to me. We both pulled away for a breath and I couldn't help but start blushing. "I've been wanting to do that all day" he said which made me blush even more "Why are you blushing?" He asked "Let's eat" I said changing the conversation and Dele just laughed "So about the dinner with my dad I've been thinking, I'm not sure if I want to go anymore" I said "Why?" "I don't know I'm not sure if I'm ready" I said "I'll support you no matter what you decide to do" he said "Thank you, I guess I just need some more time to think about it all" I said "But we're not here to talk about that" I added "We could talk about if you want to" Dele said "No i don't want to talk about that" I said "Okay, So how was it living in Paris?"He asked obviously trying to change the subject "It was amazing, being in a new county, a new culture and meeting new people and the city it's just breath taking, have you ever been there?" I asked "Yes I've been there But was only for a week I'm guessing I didn't get to see it the same way you did, what made you move there?" "The short answer is that I wanted to live abroad" I said "And the long answer is?" "I wanted to get away from a lot of different things" "Like what, if you don't mind me asking" he said "I wasn't in a good mental space, I needed time away specially from my mum and Mauricio at the time and I was going the trough a pretty bad break up too" I said looking down at my lap "Can I ask why it ended?" "He cheated multiple times and even my then best friend didn't tell me" I said not looking up to face him "Don't tell me it was her he was sleeping with" "No it wasn't" "Anyone who would ever cheat on you are so stupid, he didn't deserve you, you're too good for him" he said "How did you find out then?" He asked "a mutual friend told me" I said "That must of felt really horrible" he said "Yea it did and I think because I've been trough that I sort of understood where ruby was coming from when she said what she said to me" i said "What she said wasn't okay" He said "I know it wasn't okay but I understood where she was coming from, everyone keeps on saying that she was fake and only after your money and fame, but do you think she was ever in love with you?" I asked him "Yes I do think so, because no matter how 'fake' someone is you'll still have real moments and share real emotions so I think at some point she did fall in love with but I don't know if it was for the right reasons" he said to me "Can I ask you something?" "You just did" he said with a silly smile on his face which made me roll my eyes "yes you can ask me a question" "I like you I do, but i have my doubts and I don't want to get hurt, you and Ruby just broke up, do you think you're over her? Like completely? Or is there something still there?" I asked scared to hear his answer "I like you Amanda, I like spending time with you, I like talking to you, I like being near you, i like kissing you and I like everything about you. I fell out of love with Ruby a long time ago and I've told you this before, I might not be in love with her anymore but the love is still somewhat there, like the memories and all of that, but I don't want to be with her you're the only girl I want to be with" he said "For now that might change in a week" I said "You have every right to have your doubts any sane person would, it's up to you if you're willing to take the risk" he said as he stretched his hand over for me to take. I hesitated before saying "I'm all in" as I took his hand. He tugged my hand towards him and I got up off of my seat and walked over to him. He pulled me down on to his lap and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I looked in his eyes as he looked into mine and I couldn't help but smile at him. "Why are you smiling?" He asked "I just can't believe any of this is happening" I said "Me neither" he said as he put his hand on my cheek and then pulled me down towards him for a kiss. I pulled him as close to me as possible, I liked the feeling of his lips pressed against mine. "Come" I said after pulling away from the kiss. I got off of his lap and took him by the hand. After blowing out the candles I pulled him towards Zoe's bedroom. "Are you sure Zoe wouldn't mind us being in here?" He asked hesitantly as I got on the bed "Yes she wouldn't mind and it's not like we're doing anything" I said as I pulled him on to the bed with me. After he laid down he pulled me close to him and kissed me. I put my hands in hair as he wrapped his arms around my waist as he pulled me on top of him. After we pulled away I laid down next to him as our hands and legs were intertwined. "You know the other night when you slept over it was the best sleep I've had in a really long time" he said "What do you mean?" "I don't know I've always just had trouble sleeping and I don't know with you next me I just felt safe and I just haven't slept like that in a really long time" he said "Why have you had trouble sleeping?" I asked "I'm not sure" he said "Well im glad I helped..?" I said We just laid there in silence looking at the ceiling in complete silence.
