Chapter 10

Thursday 16th August 2018
Amelia's POV
I had managed avoid Dele and 'the dream team' the whole of yesterday and I was glad I had managed to avoided them. I wasn't bothered to be asked questions or answer them, I was mostly hanging out with the French speaking guys.
"I need your help, I'm understaffed in medical" Lucas said to me
"Okay, what do you need help with?" I asked as we walked towards the medical room
"Remember last time you were here? Ice packs, heating pads and massages if needed" he said as we entered the room. I nodded and he just ran off to help people. I put on the latex gloves and started helping everyone with what they needed. I walked over to Eric who was next and in the bed beside him was Dele who was on his phone.
"Mr.Dier how can I help you today?" I asked
"Could I get a massage on like the backside of my left  leg?" He asked
"Sure thing" I said
He turned over a laid down on his stomach I took some on the heating lotion and started massaging his leg.
"Haven't really seem you around lately, have you been avoiding us?" He asked
"Yea Ames have you been avoiding us?" Dele asked with a smile
"No i haven't, I don't have to hang out with you guys 24/7" I said
"Yea I know that but on Monday you kind of disappeared and then you haven't talked to us in 2 days" eric said
"Well I'm talking to you now" I said
"Mauricio said you're cooking tonight?" Dele said but came out as question
"Yes" I said
"I don't think anyone has ever cooked for the team dinner" Eric said
"What's the point of throwing a dinner party if you're gonna have a caterer?" I asked
"I don't know to get drunk" Dele said and I just rolled my eyes at him
"Are you going to be cooking all by yourself?" Eric asked
"No Zoe is going to be helping and so is my mum I think" I said
"That sounds like its gonna be a lot of work, if you need an extra pair of hands me and Dele would love to help out" Eric said
"We'd what?" Dele asked
"I know you just want to hang out with Zoe" I said to Eric
"Yea its a win win situation for everyone, I get to hang out with Zoe while you get help with tonight's dinner" Eric said
"What do I get out of this?" Dele asked
"You get to hang out with Amelia and you might learn how to cook" Eric said
"Sounds like a win to me" Eric added and Dele just kinda laughed and nodded.
"What time do we have to be there?" Dele asked
"Like around 4:30" I said
"That's in an hour and half" Eric said
"Yes I know, you guys offered to help so you better be there" I said to them

I was in the kitchen cutting up some vegetables, I had my yoga pants one and t shirt and my apron on, with my hair up in a bun and I was just in my element. The doorbell went off and I went to open it and it was Eric and Dele.
"Love the outfit" Dele said pointing towards my apron
"You're late" I said
"By 15 minuets" Eric said
"I told you to be here at 4:30 and it's past that" I said as I lead them towards the kitchen
"Its not that deep" Dele said and I just rolled my eyes at him.
"Mum our helpers have arrived" I said as we entered the kitchen
"Oh, these are the helpers?" My mum asked
"At least you could pretend to be happy to see them" I joked as I noticed the look on her face
"No when you said you got someone who could help us I was thinking it would be someone whose stepped foot in a kitchen before" she said
"Well mother this is what we're working with" I said to her
"Okay we can do this, Eric you help Zoe she'll tell you what to do and Dele you could help Amy here with cutting vegetables" my mum said
The guys nodded and washed their hands before getting ready to help us.
"So what are we doing?" Dele asked as he came over to me
"We're basically just chopping up all the vegetables for the salad" I said
"So we're gonna be cutting a fuck ton of vegetables?" He said
"Basically, are you capable of doing that?" I asked
"Yes I'm not stupid" he said
"I beg to differ" I said as I started to chop some tomatoes
"Excuse me" he said looking up from the cutting board
"Well you did kiss me while well aware that you have a girlfriend" I whispered to him making sure Eric or my mum didn't hear
"Oh so you want to talk about this now? After avoiding me for 2 whole days" he whispered back
"I wasn't avoiding you" I lied
"Oh so you just happened to run the other way every single time I was somewhat near you?" He asked
"You're acting like I have to hang out with you and the other guys every day" I said
"I'm not saying that, it's just you usually sit with us at breakfast and come talk to us but you've just been avoiding us and not making eye contact, I get that we kissed and come on we don't have to make a big deal about this" he said
"It is a big deal because you have a girlfriend and I'm not some kind of home wrecker" I said
"Well as long as ruby doesn't know then we'll be fine" he said
"Why did you even kiss me?" I asked as I stopped what I was doing and looked up at him.
"I wasn't the one who kissed you, you kissed me" he said
"Excuse me don't you recall putting your hands around my waist and like pulling me towards you?" I asked
"And you then put your arms around my neck and pulled me down to kiss you" he said
"You need to stop making shit up and own up to it" I said to him
"Okay fine I kissed you, but you kissed me back, why? If you hate me so much why kiss me back?" He asked
I was put on the spot I had no idea what to say, because your hot? Because I have a stupid crush on you? Because I enjoyed kissing you?
"What are you two whispering about" my mum asked looking over to us
"Nothing" I said
"I'm trying to convert Ames into a spurs supporter" Dele said with a smile
"Good luck with that, since she could first talk it's been drilled into her head to support Arsenal and hate Tottenham" my mum said
"By who? I know you're not a arsenal supporter" Eric asked
"By her dad, he put he in an arsenal shirt only hours after being born" my mum said with a laugh
"Oh okay, what about James tho he's not an arsenal fan" Dele said
"I'm guilty of that i drilled Manchester United into the boys head" my mum joked
"Why are you such a big Arsenal supporter, you're like a diehard supporter" Eric said
"I don't know, I'm just passionate I guess" I said to them.
"But we all know the only team you should be supporting is Manchester United" Zoe said
"You're a united supporter?" Dele asked shocked
"Yes, Why you acting like that at least i don't support Arsenal" she said
"Excuse me?" I said
We all continued discussing which team was best, me and Dele didn't talk about the whole kiss.
Everything for tonight was slowly coming together and I was glad since I was getting tired.
"Okay everything is almost done, Dele and Amy I need you to go get the desserts, here's the address" she said handing me a paper
"Zo and Eric I need you guys to get wine and alcohol and other drinks, here's the list" she said handing Zoe a list
"Oh wow I didn't know this was turning into a frat party" Zoe said looking at the list
"I'm driving" I said to Dele and he just nodded and followed me out to my car.
"Why does she get to call you Amy?" Dele asked as we got into the car
"Who? My mother?"
"Yea" He said
"Because shes my mother, she gave birth to me and I'm pretty sure she's entitled to call me what ever the fuck she wants to" I said as I put the address in the gps.
"Okay true, but come on there has to be a reason to why I can't call you Amy" he said as I started to drive
"Why are you so nosy?"
"I'm not being nosy, I just want to get to know you and I don't want to know what's on the surface" he said
"Okay the reason to why I don't like being called Amy by people other then my parents is because it's none of your fucking business"
"Oh Wow I thought you were finally gonna break down you walls but If that's how you're gonna be then fine" he said
"My dad gave me that nickname and he left us, no explanation, no warning, I went to bed one night and the next morning he was gone just like that" I said to him finally giving him what he wanted I guess
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know" he said
"Of course you didn't know, I don't want pity or anything like that" I said
"How old where you?" He asked
"I was 11" I said
"That must of been hard" he said
"It was just confusing because I didn't understand why, we were so close and I kinda blamed myself for it for a really long time"
"Did you ever get an explanation?" He asked
"Erm yea kind of" I said being vague
"Have you talked to him since he left?" He asked
"Like 3 times, it just got too hard to watch him have this whole new family which I wasn't apart of" I said
"He has a new family?" He asked shocked
"Yes I think he has 2 kids now" I said
"Isn't that weird tho they're your half siblings" he said
"Yes it's weird because you share the same blood, but I can't force myself into their lives specially if their parents don't want me in their lives" I said
"That's shitty, do they know about you?" He asked
"I don't know I've never met them" I said
"Would you ever want to meet them?"
"Maybe,it would be cool I guess" I said
"Do they live here in England or?" He asked
"Yes in London, when my dad left he didn't really go too far he stayed in London, he still works at Arsenal F.C., I guess he stuck to what was familiar" I said
"He works at Arsenal?" Dele asked
"Yea, physical therapist, I remember bing like 8 and following him to work and getting to meet the players and even tho he left those are the memories I'm going to cherish" I said
"That's good, to look at the positives rather then the negative" he said
"Yea, for the longest time ever I Like was just looking at all the negative stuff and focusing on that, which easily happens but i didn't realise that the only one I was hurting was myself and that's when I decided to live abroad to just to work on myself and just get rid of all that negativity and hate I had within me"
"Did it help, or work" he asked
"Yea I think it did, I no longer carry around all that hate and negativity, I'm working on improving my relationship with Mauricio and that's the important thing" I said
"He said you guys weren't that close, what's the deal with that?" He asked as I parked the car
"I don't know, I didn't like the fact that my mum was seeing someone new and that made me dislike him but then he started managing you guys and that pissed me off even more and I feel so guilty cuz Mauricio didn't deserve it" I said as I turned to face him. Why was I telling him all this? I just told him so much about myself, stuff I didn't tell anyone. Why was it so easy to talk to him? I was annoyed I had let him know all of this about myself.
"Why did I just tell you all of that?" I questioned out loud
"Maybe because you trust me?" He asked
"I never tell anyone about that, the only person I've told this to is Zoe" I said
"Well you can trust me I won't tell anyone and I'm glad you let your walls down a bit and shared something that personal with me" he said 
"I'm really hoping I can trust you" I said to him. Trust wasn't something that came easily to me so trusting Dele was a really big deal for me.
"You can trust me" he said as he pulled me into a hug.
I hugged him back and just laid my head on his shoulder. As we were pulling away from the hug Dele placed his hand on my cheek and then pulled me in for a kiss. I couldn't help but kiss him back despite knowing it was wrong. After we pulled away I just let out a sigh this couldn't keep on happening.
"Dele" I said
"I know, I know it won't happen again" he said
"It shouldn't of happened on Monday and it shouldn't of happened now" I said to him
"I know am I promise it won't happen again" he said
"It better not" I said as proceeded to exit the car.
After we entered the bakery, I told the lady working what we were here to pick up and she told us she's be right back. I was leaning on the counter when I felt Dele put his hand on my lower back.
"Get your hands off of me" I said
"Oh so we're back to this, you being cold towards me and hating me?"
"What ever just get your hands off of me" I said removing his hand from my back
"Fair enough"
"You have a girlfriend, you actually have a girlfriend and you keep on kissing me, if you don't like or love ruby anymore just end it, stringing her along like this is so horrible and I'm not trying to be your side piece" I said
"I wasn't trying to make you my side piece" he said
"Oh really? Can you then please explain to me why you'd kiss me?" I asked
He didn't answer me which annoyed the fuck out of me but we just picked up the deserts and drove back home in silence.
After getting back home I changed into more appropriate clothes for the dinner and i did my make up. I had no idea what Zoe, Dele or Eric were doing downstairs but I could care less. I wasn't in the mood for this dinner party or seeing Dele anymore but I guess life isn't fair.
After getting ready I went downstairs to, be social I guess.
"Hello" I said as I entered the living room.
Eric and Zoe were sitting on one couch and he had arm around Zoe, while Dele was sitting on a couch.
"Finally you've arrived, I no longer have to third wheel" Dele said
"You look really good" Zoe said
"Thank you" I said as I sat down
"Well I hate to cut it short but I should head home" Zoe said
"No you're staying you helped cook all of that food you're not leaving now" I said
"Well I'm not dressed for a dinner party" Zoe said
"My closet is your closet, let's go find you some clothes" I said as I took her by the hand
"I wanted to go home" she whispered to me while we went up the stairs
"Why?" I asked
"Me and Eric kinda made out and I don't know I feel awkward" she said
"What? When? Where? How? And why?" I asked
"Before you and Dele came back, I don't know we were on the couch and it happened" she said
"So why do you feel awkward?" I asked
"You know I don't kiss guys, we haven't even been on a date and you know my rules" she said as she sat down on my bed
"Well rules are meant to be broken" I said
"Shut up, its just so not me" she said
"It's good to step out of your comfort zone and at least he's single, me and Dele kissed again" I said as I looked trough my closet
"What you guys kissed again?"
"Yes it was weird I told him about my dad and him leaving and you know I don't tell anyone but i felt like I could trust him" I said
"Was it like a gut feeling, like damn I can trust this guy or you had to force it?"
"It was a gut feeling but I have trust issues and I know that so i had to force myself a bit to trust him" I said
"But if it was a gut feeling that's good, cuz that means you like him" she said
"No I don't"
"Yes you do just admit it" she said
"Fine" I said
"You should ask Eric out" I said
"What no I'm a pussy i could never" she said
"It's out of your comfort zone its a perfect reason to why you should do it" I said
"What ever can we just find an outfit for me?" She asked
After Zoe got ready we went downstairs to see that people had started to arrive. Within 30 minuets everyone had pretty much arrived and I had been introducing everyone to Zoe. I could tell ruby didn't like me or Zoe but I didn't really care. I tried my best to stay clear of Dele and ruby all night and I had managed to do so. It felt so weird having so many spurs players in my house. After dinner was done everyone was spread all over the house hanging out and talking. I slipped away and went up to my room, I had such a headache and I felt so full and bloated. I laid down on my bed and just closed my eyes. I heard someone enter my room and close the door behind them.
"Zo I have such a headache" I said assuming it was Zoe
"It's not Zoe" I heard Dele say
My eyes opened and I quickly sat up on my bed, what was he doing in my room.
"What are you doing in my room?" I asked
"I wanted to talk to you, you seemed to be in a bad mood" he said as he sat down next to me on my bed.
"I'm just tired, where's ruby?" I asked
"I'm not sure"
"Shouldn't you be with her?" I asked
"I probably should, but I wanna hang out with you" he said
"You're probably just here to piss her off" I said
"Why don't you want to believe that I want to hang out with you?" He asked
"So you're saying that you're passing up time to hang out with your beautiful girlfriend and all of your friends to hang out with me?" I asked
"Why do you keep on saying it like that, like hanging out with you would be a bad thing?" He asked
"I don't know, it just it what it is" I said
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right in this moment" he said which made me blush a bit
"Are you blushing? Is the ice queen finally melting?" He asked
"Excuse me don't you recall earlier today where I told you one of the most personal things ever, I think I've already melted and I'm just a pool of water now" I said
"I'm really glad you shared that about yourself" he said
"Well I'm hoping I can trust you" I said
"Well you can" he said putting his hand on my knee.
This time I was the first one to make a move, I put my hands on the back of his neck and pulled him towards me for a kiss. He happily kissed me back and he wrapped his arms around me as he laid down on my bed pulling me down with him. After a bit of kissing, I pulled away for a breath, I sighed as I put my face in the crook of his neck.
"Why does this keep happening?" I asked
"I don't know" he said
"Whatever it is needs to stop you have a girlfriend, I'm not going to be some side hoe. We just need to stay way for one anot-" I was cut off by a knock on the door
"Can I come in?" I heard Ruby's voice
"Erm...wait....just a second I'm not dressed" I lied as panicked. Why would I say that out of everything possible?
"Hide in the toilet" I whispered to Dele as I pushed him towards the toilet.
He just quickly ran in there and closed the door. I took a deep breath before opening the door.
"You need something?" I asked with a smile
"I was couldn't find a toilet anywhere" she said which was obviously a lie. She was looking past me and around me room so I just let her in.
"I could use yours right" she asked pointing towards the door that lead to the toilet
"No you can't" I said as I stood in front of the door
"Why not?"
"You know it's out of order" I said which was a shitty lie
"Is someone in there?" She asked
"No"
"Then open it"
"Fine, Winks is in there, he's not dressed, so let me show you to another toilet" I said as I lead her out of my room.
"Could we keep the whole winks thing in between the two of us?" I asked
"Yea of course" she said with the fakest tone and smile ever. I knew in that moment I was pretty much fucked.
"So you guys a thing?" She asked
"No" I said
After making sure she went into the toilet I ran back to my room to find Dele.
"Leave" I whisper yelled
"I was shitting my pants" he said "and winks is there? Is the best you could come up with?" He added
"Yes now leave my room" I said to him and he just laughed.
After he left, I went downstairs myself to find Winks.
After dragging him away from the people he was talking too I took him to the kitchens.
"I don't have time to explain a lot but ruby is probably gonna be down here any second now" I said as I started to mess up his hair and unbutton the top button of his shirt
"What you doing?" He asked
"I need ruby to believe you were the one in my room" I said
"Who was in your room?" He asked
"Dele"
"What? What happened" he asked
"I'll explain later, just come on" I said dragging him back to where the majority of people where.
We sat down and engaged in conversation, ruby came down and she didn't say anything. The night kept on going and it seemed like I was in the clear. Everyone had gathered in the living room and were sitting around talking and it was really nice.
"So Amelia how long have you and Harry been seeing each other" ruby asked which made everyone turn and look at us
This was what she was waiting for, for everyone to be gathered and the just let everything out.
"Ruby" Dele said to her
"No im just wondering" she said
"We're not dating" I said
"Come on you don't have to keep that act up" she said with a smile
"It's not an act, we're not dating" Harry said
"Ruby" Dele warned her for the second time but she didn't seem to care
"Come on you guys need to stop acting like I didn't catch you in your room like 30 minuets ago" she said which made everyone's jaws drop.
"What is she talking about?" Mauricio asked confused
"They we're doing god knows what but I know it didn't involve clothes" she said
Harry seemed as confused and everyone else. The rest of they guys must of thought I was a slut first the picture with Dele, then this? I just wanted to disappear.
I was in such shock I didn't even know what to saw but I could see the disapproving looks on my mum and Mauricio faces.
Without saying a word I got up from the couch and went straight to my room. I just needed to get out of there, I just needed to get out of this house in general. I knew this was gonna happen I brought it on myself. I started to back a overnight bag I just didn't want to be in this house for a minuet longer. As I was getting my stuff together I heard someone enter my room.
"I don't want to talk" I said
"Even with me?" Zoe asked
"They all think I'm a slut, first with the Dele picture now with winks?" I said
"What did ruby walk in on?" Zoe asked
"Nothing, the truth is I was in here with Dele and I know he had a girlfriend and I shouldn't be going near him but we were in here and she knocked on my door and to stall I said I wasn't dressed and Dele hid in the toilet and she was going there and asking who was in there and the Winks was the first name that came to mind so I lied that he was in there, and if you put my two statements together you kinda understand what was going on even tho it was absolutely nothing" I said
"Shit I don't even know what to say" Zoe said
"I couldn't of told her well your boyfriend is in my toilet and we were just making out on my bed" I said getting frustrated
" I know and I believe you did what you had too and it back fired but we can clean this mess up" she said
"Well I'm not cleaning anything up tonight" I said as I started to exit my bedroom
"Where you going?" She asked following me
"I'm not staying in this house any longer" I said as we walked down the stairs
"Where are you gonna go then?" She asked
"I'm gonna stay the night at a hotel or something, I just need to be alone" I said to her
"Promise to call me if you need anything?" She said
"Of course" I said
"Ames" I heard Dele say as he exited the living room.
I really didn't want to talk to him so without saying anything I just left. I got in my car and I managed to find a decent not too pricey hotel to spend the night at.
I just wanted to be alone with no one around me I didn't want to have to explain anything to Mauricio or my mum. Or anyone for that matter.
