Chapter 5

Andre POV

It was Monday morning and I was getting ready for school. I kept replaying the situation that happened last Friday in my head.

I couldn't stop thinking about Kai and her STD. I thought if this was something she had for a while and if so how long. Was it before or after we had sex.

Why was this something she kept from people. Mainly from me. I mean I did sleep with her so I knew there had to be a chance of me catching something.

On my way to school I made a stop at a near-by clinic. I walked in and saw that it was very few people because it was early in the morning.

I walked up to the front desk looking around nervously hoping no one would notice me.

I cleared my throat to get the nurse's attention.

The nurse looked up smiling at the young man who she was wondering what he was doing here.

"Hi, how may I help you."

I looked at the woman who looked in her mid-thirties nervously, hesitant to say what I needed.

"Uh, yes. I want to know if this is where you go to get yourself checked? "I said a little over a whisper.

I wasn't trying to have the little people there up in my business and judging me.

The nurse looked a little confused. She didn't know what he was trying to say.

"Im sorry, I don't follow."

"I meant like getting checked for STD's and other shit like that."I didn't mean to come off rude, I just thought it was crazy how she didn't know what I was talking about when she worked at a clinic. I figured this was her trying to be nosey.

"Oh Im sorry, why didn't you just say that" she responded nervously due to his foul language.

Well of course I didn't want to say that at first. I didn't want people judging me like I was some nasty nigga when I far from it.

The nurse had made her to the back to see if there were any available doctors at the time but they were all on a schedule this morning.

She made her way back to the young man to tell him the news.

"You can come here for check-ups but you'll have to come back later on today. The doctors have schedule appointments this morning so you can't do it now but you can make an appointment for this afternoon?"

You can tell she was nervous by the way she just jammed a bunch of words into one sentence. She wasn't trying to have a repeat of what happened just minutes ago.

Even though I knew for sure I wrapped it up with Kai, I wanted know. To know if I caught something. To know if I was still safe.

"Yeah I guess we can do that."

"Man where the hell you been at?" Brandon asked his cousin. He didn't see him all morning and he was just now showing up to the last fifteen minutes of third period.

"Damn nigga, ever heard of privacy?"

"You aint gotta lie Craig, if Rachel was giving you some neck then that's between y'all. I just got one question though?"

I smacked my teeth annoyed with my cousin stupidity."What?"

"What that mouf do doe?" Brandon ask giggling.

"Nigga...I aint get no head from that girl." I smacked him on the back of his head.

"Damn you aint had to hit me like that though. You know Im tender headed and sensitive." Brandon said while rubbing his head.
