Where Are You Katie? (Kidge)

Chapter 1 - Make a Choice

  Keith lay on his bed spread out starfish style on the once neatened beautiful white sheets and dark blue blanket that just barley came close to falling completely off his bed. A soft sigh escaped the raven's lips
"How am I going to find you Pidge?" Keith whispered questions to himself pulling his left arm to his face to cover his eyes as though he was trying to cover tears.
  Keith's teeth pressed together hard enough before his jaw began to feel pressure and then he released. He felt as though it was his fault for Pidge's disappearance, of course he would blame himself, he was the leader after all. Isn't the leader supposed to make sure everyone is accounted for and safe?
  Whatever it was Keith must've been doing a terrible job at it. But the other three Paladins wouldn't let Keith just take the blame and live with it, Lance sometimes would make reassuring comments to Keith to make sure he knew that they were all suffering as much as he was from the assumed loss of their friend. But he knew that his team had no clue he was suffering even more, especially because the day Pidge disappeared was the day Keith was going to confess but fate had other plans.
  Keith closed his eyes under his hands and let out a short sob before he took his left hand away by wiping his face of any tears and then sitting up to go train his grief off. Even though he decided to lock himself in his room because of Pidge's disappearance, he'd still have to train no matter the circumstances.
  None of the other Paladins knew about his feelings for the green Paladin and they probably wouldn't ever have a clue and never know that he in fact does have feelings for her.

Keith's footsteps echoed through the halls. It felt almost lonely and dim without Pidge around, even if she was always far down in her lions hangar by herself. He walked into the large training area and drew his Blade 
"Begin training sequence." He spoke aloud to the training room and the fighting bot dropped into the arena with a mission to destroy Keith.
  Keith charged at it swinging his sword back and fourth at it. Wanted so much to destroy it in a matter of seconds. It took him a minute until finally piercing it's chest with his blade while letting tears down his face. He thought that if he fought hard enough the pain would go away but the chances of that seemed the deteriorate every time he did fight.

Meanwhile Pidge was sitting in a cell alone she missed the castle. She'd been stuck in the damp, dark, and confined space for weeks. She wanted so much to get out but she knew it wasn't possible. Suddenly the door opened letting light flood in and fill the room, the green Paladin looked up. This is the first time they've opened the door to her cell
"What do you want from me?" She asked weakly

The two sentries waiting at the door didn't speak they only walked and grabbed the small girl by her arms and began dragging her behind them and out of the cell. Pidge struggled and struggled but she was no match for them and she gave up struggles staring at her legs that were being scraped on the ground from being pulled.

  Suddenly her body stopped and she heard and deeper voice. A voice she recognized  'Sendak' She thought to herself
"Ah, greetings Green Paladin." He had a pleased smirk plastered on his purple face
"LET ME GO YOU BLACKHEARTED MONSTER." Katie shouted at Sendak, anger and frustration clear in her voice.
Sendak ignored the young girl and spoke again. "Let's see how soft your friends really are for you hmm?" He snickered and walked up face to face with her
She was beginning to tremble with fright with how close he was getting to her face with those soullessly glowing yellow eyes and that smirk that bared all of his teeth. Pidge closed her eyes trying to wish she hadn't seen it but it was too late now.  Sendak stood up and set an order to the nearest sentry
"Contact the lions immediately and set coordinates in their direction."
Pidge wanted to find out Sendak's plan before anything. She opened her mouth to speak but one of the sentries had muffled her words by putting a cloth over her mouth and another over her eyes, her hands were still tied together. After about what felt like phebes a familiar voice appeared on what sounded like a communication screen
"Guys. It's Pidge!" She heard Lance call out from the main bridge
"Wait.. PIGDE?" She heard another familiar voice say, it was Allura
"Yeah, Pidge is right there look. Someone go get Keith." Lance pointed to the screen before shouting out
"You wanted me?" Another familiar voice joined in, his voice belonged to Keith. Pidge was desperately trying to say something but her muffled words could only be heard.

Keith stared up at the screen seeing Pidge with cloth over her mouth and eyes. His jaw unhinged in astonishment "NO!" He shouted determinedly "Who are you are what are you going to do to her?!" He asked loudly.
Suddenly Katie was given an electric shock which made her jump and screech in pain a deep voice appeared from the other side of the screen
"Do you want this pain to cease for your precious Green Paladin?" It said
No one replied for fear that this was a trap except for Keith
"LET HER GO." He shouted at the screen again
Lance leaned over into Keith's ear "Dude I think that's Sendak." Keith had an even more terrified look on his face after that comment from Lance
Pidge was shocked yet again which made her screech through the cloth. And again. Until the removed the cloth from her eyes to show her her worried friends. She went wide eyed before they lashed her once with and electric whip making her tear a little
"You can stop his suffering." Sendak told them
They kept lashing the poor girl until Keith answered
"What's your offer?" Keith immediately added, Pidge was frantically shaking her head trying to say 'Keith don't do it!"
"An Exchange." Sendak began " a Paladin for a Paladin."
Keith thought for a moment, he'd willingly give himself up for Pidge's safety no matter what but he had the make the right choice for not just himself but him team's sake too. Pidge was lashed again making her cry in pain on the screen in front of her friends who were watching in horror. Every touch of the electric whip to her skin was agony. Tears were staining the cloth that covered her screeches of pain

"Is there anything you would like to say Green Paladin?" Sendak ordered a sentry to remove the cloth from Pidge's face
   Pidge heaved and looked straight at the communication system, her once bright golden eyes now dull and had that glassy look to them "Keith don't agree, please. I beg of you, you can't give in to Sendak's bribery-" She was whipped again "AH!- don't go through with it Keith. P-please, please Keith...." she finished in a raspy voice. Tears fell down her cheeks but she gave a determined face "You'll figure something out, I know you will." Pidge added before she was taken off screen elsewhere.

   Keith's hands balled up into fists, Galra claws showing. He had to trust what Pidge said, there was no other way. Keith looked down at the ground as Sendak spoke  "Make your decision by the next two Quintants."
Keith just couldn't risk Pidge's life because it might be a trap but he had to make the right choice. Keith turned to face what was left of his team. "We're going to save her, no matter what it takes." Keith had that look of stubbornness in his eyes as he went off to his room to think of the perfect plan to get his beloved Pidge out of that hellhole

   Pidge was taken off to a second room, it looked well for interrogation as well as the whip from before but this one looked much worse. She was pinned against it. Her wrists locked in place once the armrest as well as her neck and ankles. She didn't have a good feeling about this. She was quickly learning that this small table could do plenty of things to her.
"Subject set for transfer process, Phase one, Varga 1, Quintent 1." A sentry spoke.
   Pidge was terrified for what they were going to do to her and she didn't want to know. Suddenly the voltage shot through her with a popping noise that came with it which made her yelp an cry in pain this came plenty of more shocks and lashes to her body. After what felt like Vargas she was taken from the room and thrown back in her cell. Pidge tried to lift herself up but she was just too weak. She just wanted to go back to the castle an be able to see them again before she was destroyed by Sendak and his followers. Especially Keith, she missed Keith so much. She wanted so much to feel his embrace if she did return, because if he didn't hug her, Pidge would make him hug her. Poor Katie began to let tears down her face. Wanting nothing more now than to tell Keith everything she'd held within her thoughts and just let it all out to him. Right then and there is when Pidge passed out on the cold hard floor of the dark cell.

   Keith sat on his bed. He kept thinking. But could never come up with the right plan because his mind would either deny it because of flaws or it would scratch it because it was too risky on Pidge's life. He didn't want to put Pidge's life on the line in order to save her because that would be stupid but it would have to be how he and the team could bust her out without getting hurt. But for now Keith decide to take up Sendak's offer and risk his own life for Pidge to get out and to make sure she would be out of harms way... Unless it was really a trap.
