Chapter 1: My Best Friend~

"Sade come on!" Austin whines.
"If you want it come and get it." I say in a laugh.
I run to the backyard, Austin not far behind me. It doesn't take long before he wraps his arms around me and i cant move anymore.
I laugh.
"Now, give me back my hat and no one gets hurt." He breaths into my ear.
"Like you would hurt me." I say.
"Can you please just give me back my hat. You know how bad my hat hair is." He says.
I giggle at the thought of how his hair is really messy without a hat on.
"Fine. If you just let me go, i'll give you your hat back." I say.
"Promise you wont run away?" He asks.
"Yes i promise." I say.
He lets me go. I turn around to face him then put his hat on his head.
"Your really a pain in the butt sometimes." He says.
"But you know you still love me." I say.
He chuckles.
"Yeah, i still love you." He says.
I smile.

Austin and i have been friends ever since we were two years old. We are pretty much inseparable. I know everything about him, he knows everything about me. Theres nothing he wouldn't tell me and theres nothing i wouldn't tell him. If you didn't know us you might think we are dating, thats how close we are. And i love it.

"Saide! Austin! Why don't you come in and have some lunch." Michelle, Austin's mom, says from the back door.
We go inside.
"Whats for lunch?" Austin asks.
"Chicken salad sandwich and any of the chips available that you want."
"Yes!" I say.
Michelle's chicken salad sandwiches are the best. Everyone who tries them falls in love, not even kidding.
"Thanks Mamma." I add.
I call Michelle mamma well because she's basically my mom. Besides the fact that I've know her since i was two, my mom died when i was three. So she's always the one i go talk to about stuff i don't want to talk to my dad about.
Austin and i fix our plates then sit down to eat.

Its the last two weeks of summer so Austin and i are doing everything fun we can possibly think of before having to go back to school.
Tonight Austin, Alex, Zach, Robert and i are all having a movie night here at Austin's. Its around eight so they should be here any minute.
"Hey lets scare them." Austin suggests.
"How?" I ask.
"We hide in the bushes right by my door and when they come by we pop out and scream boo." He says.
"Thats so pathetic...lets do it!" I say.
We go out the front door and both crouch down in bushes across from each other.
Soon a car door slams and voices are heard. Its them. They get closer. Austin makes a one, a two, then a three with his fingers then we both pop out of the bushes and yell boo. They all scream like little girls. Austin and i laugh then high five.
"Ya'll are such ten year olds." Alex says.
"Says the boy who screamed like a little girl." I say.
"I did not not!" He protests.
"Really? Shall we look at the video?" I ask.
"You took a video?" He asks.
I smile.
"Okay fine i screamed like a girl. There happy." He says.
I smile again.
"Yup." I say.
We all go inside.
"You took a video?" Austin asks.
"No." I say.
He smiles.
We go inside to the living room. Mamma is already in her room for the night. The point of our movie nights that we have is that we watch as many movies as we can before we fall asleep.
"Okay this time, the first person to fall asleep will wake up to a surprise in the morning." Alex says.
"Thats not fair! Im always the first to fall asleep." I say.
"Then dont fall asleep." Alex says with a smirk.
We start out with watching The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones, my favorite movie. We all get settled. Austin and i take up the whole couch. Robert and Zach in recliners and Alex is left standing up.
"Okay you don't need to take up the whole couch like that. Move." He tells me.
"No." I say.
He sighs.
"Fine. I'll just sit on the floor." He says.
He sits on the floor in front of the tv. After we are all settled we start the movie. I lean against Austin, the rest of my body taking up the rest of the couch.

After watching three movies my eyes start to get heavy. I move around trying to get comfortable. I lay my head on Austin's shoulder and close my eyes.
"Sadie." He whsipers.
I dont answer.
"Sade wake up, you dont want to be the first to fall asleep." He tells me.
I moan and open my eyes and sit up.
"Austin, i cant hold my eyes open much longer." I say.
"Just try." He says.
I lay my head back on his shoulder and keep my eyes open for a bit. But before i can stop myself i fall asleep.

I feel something wet drip on me. I groan and sit up. Its then that i realize I'm outside. Great, of course i was the first to fall asleep so they did this to me. But where are they?
"Guys?" I say.
"Yeah." I hear Alex say then laugh.
"Where are you?" I ask.
"Look up." Zach says.
I look up to the roof.
"Now!" Alex yells.
And all the sudden water balloons are being thrown at me. I squeal with each hit. It stops for a minute the one more falls on me. They all get down off the roof. I spit water out of my mouth.
"Ya'll..are so dead!" I say.
I lunge at them but Austin warps his arms around my waist restraining me.
"Whoa there feisty pants calm down." He says.
"Its what you get for falling asleep first." Alex says.
I glare at him. He puts his hands up in defense.
"Come on lets go get you some fresh clothes." Austin says taking my hand and bringing me to his room.
He gives me a pair of sweats and a t-shirt of his. I go to the bathroom and change. I put my long blonde hair into a side braid then go back into Austin's room. He is now dressed in kaki shorts and a blue Trunkfit top with a black Trunkfit hat. We go downstairs in the kitchen where the rest of the guys are. They're sitting at the table eating pancakes that Mamma made. Austin and i sit down too and start to eat.
"Sadie why is your hair wet?" Mamma questions.
"Cause the boys decided to put the couch i was sleeping on outside while i was still sleeping and then throw water balloons at me from the roof." I say.
She looks at the boys.
"She was the first one to fall asleep and we said that who ever fell asleep first would get a surprise in the morning." Alex explains.
"But that wasn't fair cause I'm always the one to fall asleep first and you knew that!" I say.
"Well lets just say it was payback for scaring us when we got here." Alex says.
"Its not my fault your a bunch of big babies who get scared easily." I say.
"Hehe real funny." Alex says.
"Hehe." I say mimicking him.
"Okay just stop talking to each other." Austin suggests.
I roll my eyes in a playful manner.
Even though these boys get on my nerves sometimes I'm not ready for summer to end.
