7. Run

// Gabriel's POV

He felt shaking. Was there an earthquake? What was going on?!

He saw light. Was he dead? Well shit. If he was dead. There'd better be some hot chicks or guys wherever he ended up.

Gabriel looked up. Slowly opening his eyes, which locked with big hazel ones.

Such a beautiful mix of brown and green.

Gabriel knew those eyes. Sam?

He looked worried. His eyes asking one question.

'Are you alright?'

Gabriel sat up, immediately feeling a sharp pain in his head, causing him to lay back down, his head landing in Sam's lap.

Gabriel looked up at Sam with a smile.

"I'm alright....don't worry...about me." He smiled up at Sam.

Sam smiled and helped Gabe sit up.

Gabriel held the sides of his head in pain. His hair was wet. Was he bleeding?

Wait what was he thinking?! Gabriel didn't care if he was okay.

"A-are you alright?!" He blurted out grabbing Sam's shoulders.

Sam's eyes widened and softened quickly as he smiled and nodded.

Gabriel sighed in relief.

Sam looked at Gabe's head before searching through his bag.

He pulled out a first aid kit.

Gabriel looked at Sam in surprise before shaking his head.

"Really Sam, I'm fine." He reassured.

Sam just shook his head and took out a needle and some medical thread before scooting up to Gabe.

"Uh...no Sam. You are not going to sew my head. I'm fine." He lied. His head ached and throbbed with every word he spoke.

Sam rolled his eyes and pulled a sucker from Gabe's pocket before handing it to him.

Gabriel sighed and unwrapped his sucker and sticking it into his mouth.

"Go ahead."

Sam began to sew his head. Gabriel shut his eyes tightly. It stung.

He sucked at the candy trying to distract himself.

Gabriel must have flinched too hard or something because all he felt was the needle stabbing his head.

He winced reaching down and squeezing Sam's knee.

Sam quickly pulled away from his head before patting Gabe's back apologising.

Gabriel's hand never left Sam's knee.

After a while Sam patted Gabe's back and began packing the kit in his bag.

Gabriel had finished his sucker a long time ago and was now only chewing on an empty stick, his hand still of his friends knee.

Sam leaned back against the brick wall they sat by and let his hands fall to his sides with a sigh.

Gabriel looked at his hands.

"Thanks Sam. For uh, patching me up." Gabriel smiled, placing a hand on Sam's.

Damn it. What was he doing?!

Sam looked down at their hands before blushing a dark crimson and pulling away nodding.

The bell rang.

Gabriel grabbed Sam's hand and helped him up.

Sam looked at Gabe questioningly.

"Run." Gabriel whispered with a smile before running into the building hand in hand.
