[Scene 1]
[Setting- Manikantapur, Tesha's house]
Black ominous clouds covered the sky threatening rain. DitiPriya cast her eyes to the charcoal sky, her attention held by the conflicted and anguish moving clouds. Seeing the charcoal sky, she began feeling restlessness. There this sudden fear in her heart and she doesn't know what the fear is or what it is about. But whatever it is, she fears that it is bringing a danger to her family and she hopes that these clouds will go away and be replaced with the lovely and brightening sun that beams at her whole family and spreads happiness around them. However, even thinking positively, her restlessness does not go away, instead, there is a feeling of unsettledness and uneasiness. And, suddenly, she hears the doorbell ringing which startles her and increases her restlessness. With shaky steps, she moves towards the living room door where she could hear the doorbell ringing loudly. Opening the door, she comes face-to-face with Deb Das and Rian Das. She then forces a smile as the anxiousness did not decrease, especially with the serious expressions of Deb and Rian and then she welcomes them to their house "Nomoskar dada (Hello brother) and Rian. Please come in" saying this she moves aside and lets them enter the living room. She then asks one of the workers to call Prosonjit to come down from his study as Deb and Rian came. The worker then goes to call Prosonjit.
"Sit down dada and Rian. Shall I bring some Aloo Singara and tea for the both of you" asks DitiPriya.
"No boudi (Sister in law) we are in a hurry and just came to talk something important with you and dada but Dhonyobad (thank you)" says Deb.
"Arrey what is the important that is so powerful that made you reject food for the very first time," asks Prosonjit while coming down the stairs with a smile on his face by looking at his dearest friend and his soon to be son in law. He sits down on the sofa next to his beloved wife and opposite Deb and Rian.
"Dada what I am going to say might be a really horrible thing to say and do and please believe me when I say that I am extremely sorry about this but what can I do, I am really helpless. I cannot see my son unhappy and sad all his life. For me, his happiness is very important and if anything can bring even one percent of happiness in his life then I will do anything to bring that happiness in his life" says Deb while looking very stressed out. Meanwhile, Rian is very silent and lets his dad do the talking as he doesn't want to make the matter worse.
"Arrey say it clearly whatever you want to say and of course, Rian's happiness matters. Children are the heart of their parent's and the parents will do anything to make sure their heart is happy and healthy and therefore, it is a good thing that you love Rian so much and will do anything for his happiness" says Prosonjit.
"Dada, Rian is in love with Akriti and he wishes to marry her. I am sorry dada but I cannot make my son unhappy and therefore, the marriage of Rian and Tesha will be called off and Rian will be marrying Akriti. I hope you understand my circumstances dada" says Deb. Meanwhile, Prosonjit feels his whole world collapsed right in front of his own eyes. He cannot believe what his dearest friend just told him. The marriage that has been decided since a long time has been called off because Rian fell in love with ANOTHER girl while being engaged to his daughter Tesha. He looked at another girl while having a fiancée and while being the bestfriend of that fiancée since childhood. How could Rian betray Tesha who loves him immensely and How could Deb so casually break off the engagement as if they are rejecting a small business deal.
With an emotionless face, Prosonjit gets up from the sofa and says "Dada I understand and thank you for coming to our house. Unfortunately, I and DitiPriya has some work and you will have to excuse us" says Prosonjit while DitiPriya is in shock. Rian and Deb got the hint and they took their leave.
[Scene 2]
[Setting- Manikantapur, Tesha's house]
[1 hour after Rian and Deb left, Tesha's house living room]
"What has happened Prosonjit. Everything was so good, and we were planning to prepare for the marriage of Tesha and Rian and now see what happened. Oh god, what am I going to Tesha? This is going to break her heart" says a crying Ditipriya while Prosonjit is feeling helpless and doesn't know what to do to stop his daughter's heart from breaking and her beautiful world to stop from darkening.
"SURPRISE" yells Tesha standing next to the door with her suitcases. Seeing her there makes both Prosonjit's and Ditipriya's worry to worsen.
"Ma (mother) why are you crying. What happened. Did baba (dad) shout at you" asks a worried Tesha. DitiPriya was about to tell what happened to Tesha. However, before she could say anything Prosonjit laughs and says "haha no Tesha, you know how your ma is, she was watching her daily soaps and was narrating the story and started crying. So typical of her" saying this, he hugs Tesha and signals Ditipriya to not tell anything to Tesha yet. Tesha breaks the hug and looks at Ditipriya and says "offo ma, stop watching those crybaby shows, we have enough water in our house, we don't need any more" saying this, Tesha hugs DitiPriya and DitiPriya hugs her tightly, with tears nearly coming out of her eyes due to the knowledge of the horrible destiny of her daughter.
"Okay now go and freshen up and come down to eat. I missed my daughter so much and I haven't eaten anything in her presence since such a long time" says Prosonjit in a sulky tone.
"Awwwiiiiieee, so cute. I missed you both too and yea, I'll be back in 10 minutes. Love you" saying this she runs up the stairs.
"Why did you stop me from telling her what happened?" asks DitiPriya.
"Diti, she just came back after such a long time. Let her rest for a while and let her be happy for some time, her days of sadness will be here soon. Let her be happy as long as we can make it happen" says Prosonjit. Meanwhile, in her room, Tesha starts jumping up and down and looks at Rian and her pictures with loving eyes.
"Rian Rian Rian. Finally, I am back and soon we will be together. I can't wait for our marriage. Oh god oh god oh god this is so amazing. I can't wait to be Mrs Tesha Rian Das" says Tesha with an excited tone filled with anticipation and hope of a loving beginning with her love, her Rian.
[Scene 3]
[Setting- Manikantapur, Akriti's house]
"I hope you will not disappoint us and give us your daughter for my son Rian," says Deb with a smile. Hearing this, Akriti who was hiding behind the door becomes very happy and so does the parents of Akriti.
"Dada, of course, Akriti is your daughter anyway. My Akriti will be very fortunate and lucky to be the daughter in law of you" says Akriti's father.
