“You are absolutely right boudi (sister in law). If she was a sensible girl and changed herself into a traditional girl then her marriage wouldn’t have broken and he wouldn’t have chosen Akriti over her. But it’s good. He is saved from having a shameless wife like her. Akriti is so much better than her. Akriti is so beautiful and a true Bengali girl unlike her” said Paromita, another member of Rian’s village.
Tesha who was walking in Rian’s village and was five minutes away from his house heard all these talks and was confused on whom they were talking about. From their talks, it seemed that someone’s marriage broke, and the guy chose another girl over her. But she didn’t know whom they were talking about. She didn’t know anyone whose marriage got broken. Why didn’t her parents tell her thought Tesha? Tesha thought to find out about whom they were talking about and therefore, she went towards Barsha and Paromita and asked “Barsha kaki (Barsha aunty) and Paromita kaki (Paromita aunty) who are you talking about?” asked Tesha.
Seeing Tesha, both Barsha and Paromita were startled at first. But then a hard expression graces their face and with a disgust expression, mixed with anger, Paromita says “Why are you acting as if you don’t know what happened? My god, you became so shameless now. Acting as if nothing happened. Disgusting” says Paromita.
“Kaki (aunty) what are you saying? Why are you talking like that and what happened? I am not acting at all” says Tesha. She is hurt by Paromita’s word and also confused on what is happened. What is that she is supposed to know and is pretending to act like she doesn’t know.
“Seriously Tesha, day by day you are becoming more shameless. Your marriage just broke. Rian chose Akriti over you and got engaged to her and here you are in his village, acting as if nothing happened. Here you are roaming freely as if nothing has happened. And why are you here in this village? Don’t you feel ashamed to come to your ex-fiancé’s village when he broke your marriage with him and got engaged to Akriti” says Barsha.
“You were right boudi. It’s good that Rian’s chose Akriti over her. Akriti is so much better than this shameless girl” says Paromita. Meanwhile, Akriti is in shock. What are they saying? That is not true. Rian is hers and not some Akriti’s. He is her fiancé. He didn’t choose anyone at all.
“Kaki, you might have misunderstood or something. I am Rian’s fiancé. He is going to marry me. our marriage didn’t break, and he didn’t get engaged to any Akriti” says Tesha. Meanwhile, Prosenjit and DitiPriya reaches there and found Tesha telling Barsha and Paromita this. They ran to Tesha and DitiPriya with a crying and pained voice said “they are right Tesha. Deb dada (brother) broke your and Rian’s marriage because Rian fell in love with Akriti and therefore, Rian got engaged to Akriti today. I am so sorry Tesha. I wanted to tell you everything, but you just arrived and I didn’t want to snatch your happiness. I am so sorry Tesha”. Saying this DitiPriya hugs Tesha while Tesha’s whole world collapsed.
