"Hey! Aren't we gonna get our assigned partners today?" Vicky squealed

"Yea." I said shutting my locker. I honestly do and dont care about my assigned partner for the trip.

"Why are you acting as if its not a big deal!? Who knows maybe you will get a cute partner or better yet David!" Vicky cheered

"I guess it would be nice to have David as my partner but even if that happenes he will just think we are friends and I might possibly stutter and be a total klutz in front of him," I admitted

"True. But if you fall he will be worried and help you up and you accept he pulls you up and when your finally up you guys will lock eyes and boom!" Vicky said.

"Can you stop saying 'and' so much" I asked.

"Please, your not my language arts teacher" Vicky argued.

"True. Well I better get going to Mrs.Skipper's class and finally see who is my partner" I said.

"Yup yup. Chow!" Vicky waved and skipped to Mr.Perez's class
I got in the classroom and headed towards my seat at the back and saw David smiling at me. I could feel myself blushing.

"Hey Zoe! Come here." David said.

I nodded and went towards him. "Hey."

"You excited about who's gonna be our partner?" He asked.

"I dont know. Why?"

"Because I might get Karly or you if I'm lucky." He said smiling
I felt myself blush. He wants to be my partner!

"And if I get someone I dont know I will get to know them and make another new friend." He continued.

"Yea. I guess it is exciting isnt it?' I nodded.

"Yea. Sit down class doesnt start until another 4 minutes," David assured.

"Sure," I said. Im actually sitting by David Hall my crush since like forever!

"So? Anybody you have in mind to be your partner?" He asked.

"Not really," I admitted.

His smile faltered a bit.

"I guess you. Since you are a good friend of mine," I said and his face beamed.

"We are pretty good friends! We've known eachother since fifth grade," David said.

And thats the year I got this gigantic crush on you.

"So-" I was cut off by someone clearing their throat and that unpleasant sound came out of Karly.

She gave a fake smile, "Excuse me hon, but I think you're in my seat."

She was right. This was a clear win for Karly that I didnt even want to say anything.

"Karly you always sit here, let Zoe sit here we have some catching up to do," David said.

Karly was cleary shocked, "W-what!?'

I smiled, but it faltered knowing that this will be gossip pretty soon, "You can sit here, it is your seat after all."

Karly was even more shocked.

"Don't. Its okay with you right Karly? She is your friend after all. I remember you two were always together during elementary and junior high," David mentioned which made my eyes widened and Karly's as well.
